Hi everyone and thank you again for such a great forum.

I spent a lot of time last night catching up on all of Dr. Junig's blog. My main question is: Where have you been all my life Dr. J?!?

Anyway, in one of his articles he describes crushing and painting a tab on more surface area in the mouth as to ensure proper absorption. I've been taking my 8 mg film sublingually for years which has always worked well. But, now I'm on a lower dosages but in higher frequency. The area under my tongue is getting a little sensitive. So, my question is how do you paint a film? I tried this morning and it just got all stuck on top of my tongue. Is it being absorbed through the tongue as well? Also, is he still suggesting we still dose only once per day? I worry that since my dosing schedule has changed, it's triggering addiction habits.

I appreciate any tips, advice and suggestions please

As long as the suboxone is touching the inside of your mouth, it is getting absorbed even if it is stuck on your tongue. The reason people say to paint your mouth with it is so you can get the most out of your dose . Meaning: To move the sub piece around your mouth with your tongue, so it touches as much as possible. So mainly to increase the surface space to absorb the most out of your dose.

Personally, I just put the thing under my tongue until it dissolve. And that works for me.

Thank you for your prompt response! I'm glad to know that the tongue is not wasting anything. I guess I thought there was something special about the membranes in the jaw/cheek.

I pay out of pocket for these suckers so I want it to be good to the last drop.

Thank you again!

The reason for painting an entire head is that it helps to keep in mind the way light reveals the structure of the human form when we start to consider details.
