Hi Henry! Welcome to the forum! I'm afraid that I don't have any answers for your question about knee exercises. Did your knees start hurting only after you started on suboxone? Joint pain can be a side effect of suboxone. I know that when I was taking 16mg/day I experienced some pain in my hips and knees. This went away after I started tapering my dose.

I hope someone who comes along knows more about knee exercises than I do. Good luck!

Amy

I wish there was an exercise I could do to get rid of the arthritis in my knees...especially my left, where I had a torn meniscus and chondral flap..

dr. said I waited too long for surgery and he couldn't do anything for the arthritis.

Since I have gotten back on Subs I have been experiencing the same problems. My knee has been killing and has been so painful in my sleep it would wake me. It happens mostly when it's been bent too long and I straighten it but even when it's not bent I get sever knee pain. Here are some exercises and stretches I have done to help. You'll have to look all these up on google and do some research.

Stretches
In a chair knee extension
Heel Slide Knee Extension
Knee Flexion
Hamstring Stretch

Strength Training
Wall Slide
Bent leg Raises
Abductor Raise
Hamstring Curl
Step Ups
Stationary Bikes

A good start is 3 stretching and 3 strength 3-4 times a week. You should stretch everyday if possible to prevent stiffness and achy joints. I usually do them a few times a day. Good luck.

I'd rest until you can figure out what the cause of the pain is. If the cause of your pain is a meniscus tear, putting strain on it could make it worse. Try and see a doctor and get a good diagnosis before you start treating it.
