I've been on suboxone 2mg/0.5mg sublingual strips, directions take 2 films 3 times a day for pain. I took 2 strips at 8am then 2 films at 3pm then....I took 2 strips at 10pm. 30 minutes later I started getting wondering did I take 2 strips earlier (before 10pm) I was trying to remember... I was showing the guy the car at 9pm and started hurting more.... Even as I'm writing this I keep thinking "how incredibly stupid can I be???" So if I did take it 2ce that would be 8mg in an hour. Is 8mg enough to cause problems. I know from now on I'll write down when I take it.

Never mind. It's 1am and I'm starting to hurt again so there is no way I double dosed. Still, it's nice to know this forum is here.

Welcome Christina,
Even if you had exceeded your usual dose it shouldn't have been a problem. When I was on 6 mg my pharmacist accidentally gave me a dose of 10mg. I felt a little wired for an hour, that's all.
I'm glad you have found this forum, there are many fantastic members!

Hey Christina,

You'd have been fine if u had taken the extra dose. It could have possibly made u feel a little nauseous or something because ur tolerance may have been to low for the extra dose but u certainly wouldn't have been in any danger.

I have to write down the time I take my medicine (I'm on an antibiotic right now lol) if I didn't I'd be double dosing like crazy because my memory is shot. I only take suboxone once a day but it would be a good idea to just keep ya a sticky as a reminder of when it's time to dose again. Eventually you'll get used to it and probably won't even need a time reminder anymore.

Welcome to the forum, any questions just ask!!
