My 18 yr old daughter has been on Suboxone since April 5 of this year. She has been on 12 mg since she started, split 3 times a day. I have been trying VERY hard to let her deal with this on her own.....as I know it is her recovery not mine. I sometimes count her meds and a couple of times things seemed off to me but I decided not to make a big deal of it. For whatever reason last night I decided to count them....she had 21. Today there were a couple of her friends at my house and I got to thinking I am going to check again.....interestingly enough 21. I sent her a text and questioned her and she said she took a whole one but clearly she did not. So I am wondering a several of things; 1. Is this a red flag or am I being overly cautious? 2. Will not using the subs as prescribed make a huge difference? 3. How long does she need to miss meds before she could feel the full effect of a pill (perc 30)? She just finished HS and is graduating next weekend. I am very proud of the hard work she has put into her recovery. I just know what is was like to be 18, graduate....parties etc. I appreciate any advice! Thanks
