Today is my 9th day off of pills and I feel great!

I am the married mother of two teenage boys. I am 39 yrs old and have been married for 21 and employed for the government for 19 years. I have had a very good if stressful life. My kids are what I live for. They are the reason I want to be well and be around for a very long time. This forum has been a great deal of information and strength for me. I lurked around on it for a few weeks without signing in. I didn't sign in until I went to the doctor and got on suboxone. I then felt like I could be a part of this.

I live in a very small town and we do not have any kind of NA or meetings so for me this site takes the place of that.

When I have been scared about how the medicine works or if the way I am feeling is right I come straight to this site because people here know what they have went through. I ask my doctor a question about one of the side effects and he said "i don't think so" I knew then that unless you have taken it and experienced it I don't really want you to answer my questions.

Thank you to everyone on this site that really cares!

Congrats on your 9 days. You sound very determined and I know that will serve you well. I'm glad you decided to register and take part in the forum. I'm sure you'll find it as supportive and informative as so many of us have. Good luck with your suboxone treatment/addiction remission. And welcome!
