I wanted to share some of my story. I am 47 years old. I have been addicted to prescription pain medication for over 20 years. I have been "clean and sober" for periods of time, my medical conditions always flair up and I find myself, back on pain medications. I was on methadone for 5 years, I got off that stuff in 2003. I've been admitted to over 22 psychiatric/substance abuse facilities, I am certainly not proud of this, just giving you some background. I go to 12 step programs. I believe in them. I've met wonderful people there.

I had just about given up hope when I found suboxone. I've been on it for 2 months now, my addiction is finally, truly in remission. I know there are alot of schools of thought out there. For me, suboxone is a miracle drug. I intend to stay on this medication until something better comes along.

I feel so blessed to be getting my life back. My chronic pain is under control. I find my moods are stablizing (I'm bipolar, type 2). This in itself is a miracle.

Thank you for being here, and thanks for letting be share.
