Hey u2star,

I have both fibromyalgia and interstitial cystitis (AKA painful bladder syndrome) - both are incurable, hard to treat, chronic pain conditions. I've had fibro for years and that's what led me to going on opiates in the first place.

I usually take 8 mg twice a day, unless I'm having a really bad flare up, then I'll take a third 8 mg, but that's pretty rare. For my particular conditions, a muscle relaxer also happens to help me.

The suboxone (even without the muscle relaxer, that was only added to the mix about a year ago), helps my pain considerably. It allows me to live my life, something I know I couldn't do if I were to take nothing, which is my only option left. I know I can NEVER return to taking regular pain pills to treat these chronic conditions again. So considering sub is my only remaining option, I'm happy with the amount of pain it reduces. I mean, I have chronic pain - I always will, so I don't expect to have my pain totally erased. That will never happen, so lessened pain or more tolerable pain is acceptable to me.

I hope this was what you were looking for. If you have more questions, just ask away.

-As I have grown older, I've learned that pleasing everyone is impossible, but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.

-I'm only responsible for what I say, not for what you understand.
