i just moved to the pottstown pa area and am in a bit of a bind. my doctor in the new orleans area was prescribing me 12 - 16mg of subutex a day. i had been doing great on it - no cravings to speak of - and i changed my crowd there. luckily i have a small supply to last me until i can find another doctor here. i've called around to some of the doc's listed online and have yet to find one in this area that will write for the generic bupe i got in louisiana. it was only $3 a pill there and cost is a big factor as i was forced to move.
my question: anyone know a doc that will write these pills to help me keep it cheap. many docs in louisiana are doing this now.

thanks for any help you can give. it's so different up here.

please forgive my bad manners - i really should have searched a lot here before posting- it's just i get a little freaked out. big changes for me.

Hi Gemini22 and welcome to our forum. Once you get a chance to settle in, take some time to read as many posts that you can. Up top you'll see a link to help you find a Suboxone Dr. Unfortunately, it doesn't specify one for Subutex only. That might be a difficult one to find. I am surprised to hear you're on it and not the regular Suboxone.

It would be a great help if doctors made Subutex more available. From my experience most doctors won't prescribe it unless your pregnant. All you can do is ask and see what he/she says.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help. But the welcome mat is still out for you.

I have know the philly doctors that prescribe suboxone, none of which will prescribe subutex unfortunately. If you end up in a pickle and are willing to try suboxone, I can PM you the info. It could be worth a try anyway, maybe things have changed since I've been there.
