Hey All,
my names Aaron, and i've got one thing in common with everyone here.
I last used Oxycontin May 20th, 4 days short of 8 months.
which is the time i have been on Suboxone..
I had a thought today which led me to this site, and i had a thought
that life would never be as fun and exciting as the days getting loaded
with an infinite amount of money and no worries
(funny how the brain skips the bad memories)
so i guess i am clean, but not sober.
i am physically clean from the drug, but not mentally.
and I'm caught in between having no desire to use again, but also not having much hope of happiness
with the new life..
idk.. sorry to ramble on with a boring story but maybe
i can hook up with somebody who knows what I'm talking about
and we can share thoughts and help each other out.
thanks everyone,
ttyl-

Hi Aaron and welcome. So if I understand you correctly, you're on sub, but you're still wanting to use? You're still having cravings? May I ask what dose you are on? What else have you done since you've been on suboxone? Some of us get a lot out of therapy - individual or with an addiction specialist. I'm sorry that you're struggling. It might be that your dose is too low or maybe you weren't ready to quit? I know I was not ready to quit when I was put on suboxone, but I guess I was lucky, because it's worked really well for me. It's been over 2 years now. I hope you find what you need to feel better.

Now that you have been on sub for awhile, what are you doing for your recovery? Welcome to the forum!
