Hello everyone I am new here. I am not new to opiates & addiction I have 16 years of experience in this. I live on the east coast & I have 2 young boys. I have been on suboxone for 3 years & I am SO VERY grateful for this medication because without it I would most definitely be dead or in the penitentiary right now & my boys would not have a mom. I wish that I knew about this site years ago. It could have answered some questions that I had to figure out the answers to on my own. I was a methadone maintenance patient for 2 years & it sucks to have to go to the clinic everyday for your meds. I LOVE being able to get my subs from a private dr with whom I make a appt. with instead of walking in and signing a book & standing in line at the medication window. I was also very fortunate to find a really good dr who cares about his patients & not some dr who is just writing out scripts for the money. I was a hardcore addict (aren't we all??) & honestly believe that I will need to be on sub maintence for the rest of my life. :D

I am really glad you found us! Welcome to the forum! I am so glad that suboxone is working well for you.

It makes such a difference when you have a doctor who cares and doesn't just take your money and hand you a script! I was lucky to find a good one too.

Even though I'm sorry you didn't find this site sooner, I'm happy that you're here now. There are plenty of people who are new and who could benefit from your experience. I love learning from all the different perspectives here.

Again, welcome!

Done is better than perfect!
