Hi Jeremy and welcome. From what you have said, it sounds like you are a good candidate for Suboxone treatment. As far as the cost goes, it really depends on what you have for insurance and whether you can find a doc who takes it. The best thing is to use the link at the top of the page (or on Suboxone.com) and start calling docs in your area. Also, read and get as much information as you can. Suboxone isn't really "methadone lite" as people like to say. A lot of folks find it just as difficult to get off as methadone, so be aware of that upfront. I wish you the best, and let us know how you make out.

i went from methadone, to suboxone, but becuase I was abusing mine....

It was a rough transition for sure, but if your not taking methadone, now? Im not sure what your taking or how
much but many doctors won't even try unless your under about 60mg a day.

So, I have no insurance, and I was lucky enough to find a suboxone dr. with a sliding scale, but that's not the "norm"

the films, cost almost $10 a piece where I live if your buying less than 5 at a time....
with suboxone, you can buy one film or ten films, it doesn't matter. they don't care how you pick it up.
anyways, TEN films, is a litttle better priced, it's about 70 bucks.

When I first started I absolutely STILL FELT MILD W/D on Three films a day.
it's been 20 months now, and I'm taking only one a day (8mg)

so, I hope that answers those questions...

I never could make it thru methadone w/d either, so don't beat yourself up.... it was by far the most uncomfortable experience, ever.

the longest I made it was MAYBE 3-4 days......
so hats off to YOU for making it TEN......

here's a couple of links (bottom of the page) to find a suboxone doctor, or maybe you could call a few in your area and see what they
charge.... Do you HAVE med insurance?

Well I hope this helps you, please ask any more questions you may have!!!

I do wish you the very best, no matter which road you take......

http://www.suboxone.com/patients/opioid ... octor.aspx (this one, you put in your zip code, and how many miles your willing to travel)

http://www.treatmentmatch.org/patients.cfm
this one you make a "profile" and answer some questions, and a doctor office contacts you

Oh, and check this thread out, it's called
"the difference between methadone and suboxone"
http://suboxforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=6628 (there's a lil argueing going on in this, just IGNORE that,,,  )

http://suboxforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=7213
the link above is a pretty good one, about switching, from methadone to suboxone

hope this helps!!!
