I have been on Suboxone for over 2 yrs and I am ready to come off! I am taking 3 mgs a day and getting ready to drop my dose down to 2 mgs a day in about another wk. The next big step will be coming off from 1 mgs a day to zero!! Any experiences please share?
Many Thank & Kind Regards,
FLsharkvictim

Most find that when they get below 1-2 milligrams it becomes essential to cut off less then a milligram and take your time. For many people, 1 milligram supposedly still causes considerable withdrawal. I was able to taper down to .25 milligrams. I had a few rough days but it wasn't to bad. Still not fun. It gets better every day but Sub detox is a real GRIND. You have to prepare for it and know what is coming.

I would suggest you consider tapering to at least .5 when you jump off.
