I currently live in CT and will be moving to Galveston, TX in Aug as I was accepted into a phd program. Ive been sober 2years and trying to find a psychiatrist to continue suboxone maintence (ive actually been on methadone but my doc is switching me to subs before I move as it is more practical). Anyways I have called every person listed on those websites in a 50 mile radius and have not had any luck. The drs that will take me will have me do all these treatment things that i have been through before. I need to lock down a doctor soon! I dont care what hoops i have to jump through as long as it doesnt interfere with school... does anyone know any sub docs in the houston area that are normal psychatrists that will see me once a month. (i dont mind going 1 once a week for the first month or whatever and it doesnt matter if its self pay). And obviously i can have my dr, therapist and/or counselor contact them along with my records.

Sorry you haven't received any responses yet. It really is a shot in the dark when you are trying to find a Suboxone doctor. Why it is so hard I can't say.

We all hope you find a suitable match for your treatment. It sucks being hung out to dry like you are.
