Hey all, I had some suboxone in a pill bottle that got moisture trapped inside, in the pill bottle were also two blue sleeping pills (over the counter) and when i took the two subs that were in their out they were filled with moisture, you could squeeze them and they would just crumble to pieces, and also there was a film of a greenish tint over it. I can tell if they are mold spores or rub off from the blue pills that were in their, Can mold grow on a suboxone? I know it has starch in it as an inactive ingredient. Im a little worried to take them, I have since dried the two subs out and they look better but have a greenish tint on the outside and when I break it in half the inside of it is a darker orange than any of the others. I would just throw them out but im reaching the end of my script and may have to rely on them before getting more. Please let me know if anyone has a had a similar issue or if mold can even grow on the subs. If they are mold spores they are so small you cant tell.

I would think it would depend on how long the moisture was trapped in the bottle, but even then I've never heard of mold growing on a medication pill. I would think that the discoloration is from the other pills. Just know that this is what I'm thinking, not what I know to be fact. I would think the sub you have left should still be okay to take if you really need them. I'm really sorry I don't have a better answer for you. Perhaps someone else will.

Hey Rid, I agree with hat, it's probably more likely a color change. If you think about it, orange and blue mixed together could make green.....
