Hello all,

After posting about 'the taper I do not want,' I met with my MD and discussed the issues I brought up in my prior post. As was predicted, the taper is over for now and I have been bumped up to 6 mg per day. I say 'for now' because we agreed that it would be wise to revisit the issue in 6 months or so. It's possible I could go up to 8 mg, but let's see how I do on 6. Prior to the drop to 4, two months ago, I was at 6 for five months, so I know this is a comfortable level. I am fortunate to have a great support team, between my wife, the MD, and my therapist. Thanks to all who lent an ear and their wisdom. I am grateful.

I'm happy to hear that you and your doctor came to a decision that you're comfortable with. Not everyone has a doctor that listens or is very helpful in their overall recovery. My doc is also my family doctor and he doesn't pay a damn bit of attention to my recovery methods. It also sounds like your entire support system is helpful and strong. That puts you in a great place. I'm glad you're doing well. Keep us posted.
