I suffer from chronic intractable skeletal muscular spacsitcity in my lower back as well as tennis elbow in both arms. I hear it's better to dose multiple times a day for chronic pain. What is a good dosing schedule to keep back pain at bay? I also was thinking of starting Tylenol ER

Post subject: once and for all- bupe and pain relief in addicts on MAT
PostPosted: Sun Mar 19, 2017 7:24 pm
I find nothing more personally confusing than the issue of buprenorphine and chronic pain relief,
especially for highly tolerant opiate addicts. Which as it happens likely describes the great majority
of forum people, including me

So I'm hoping once and for all to clear some things up.

1: For a long while I was under the impression that high doses of bupe along the lines we
normally talk about here for maintenance, would usually not ...

Post subject: Voluntarily switched to Suboxone for chronic pain- problem
PostPosted: Sat Mar 18, 2017 12:23 pm
I'll try to be brief. In 2009, I began seeing a pain management group after my GP referred me for the treatment of bulging and herniated discs from L3/L4 - S1/S2. I was put on Norco 10/325 initially, and then the interventional pain doc in the same practice placed me on Avinza 30mg. At the time, my pain group became sold on the idea that Long acting pain medications were the only treatment (this is ...

A friend has asked that I ask all of you for advice.
He has been on painkillers for over a decade. The painkillers are for his knees. He has had surgery, but there is no cartiledge(sp?) left. There is extensive damage to the bones from them rubbing. He needs new knees but won't go on disability in order to get them done. if he doesn't go on disability he has to wait til he's 50! ...

Post subject: Adding More Suboxone for Pain Management
PostPosted: Fri Dec 02, 2016 6:15 pm
I hinted in my introduction post, that I am a chronic pain patient.

I thought I was "over" being in chronic pain, with the successful back surgeries I had in September and October of this year. (first was to remove some bones and disk material that were impinging on some nerves, and the second was to repair damage done by the previous surgery).

Most of my severe pre-operative and post-operative pain was over, so I ...

Post subject: Taking a little extra; is it ok
PostPosted: Sun Nov 13, 2016 9:26 pm
It's finally starting to get cold here in Alabama. And I am feeling more and more pain the colder it gets. A few people commented on a previous thread about chronic pain, I just want to make sure I'm doing this right and not abusing my Suboxone. Is it ok to take extra Suboxone a few times a week? I am prescribed 16 mg a day. I take 12 mg a day. But I've noticed ...

Post subject: Is Suboxone going to cover my chronic pain too?
PostPosted: Tue Nov 08, 2016 10:03 am
I had some real bad pain last night in both my hips and my foot. I broke both hips, both femurs, just everything from my hips down basically back in 1992, with my right foot being the worse injury. They actually had to fuse the right heal and ankle back together after surgery to reconstruct my arch failed in 1993. I was filled to the gills with medal hardware, but most was removed the year ...

 Post subject: Suboxone & Soma
PostPosted: Tue Nov 01, 2016 4:43 pm
Why does one of my drs have a problem with one dose of Soma daily and the other does not? I've heard of it can be abused but I don't find that to be true. All I know is that it works better then all the other muscle relaxers I've tried. I may have to suffer because some say it's abusable.

Post subject: What to take when pain after history of opiate addiction?
PostPosted: Sat May 30, 2015 4:15 pm
Hello, I have recently gotten over a long-term opiate addiction and have a surgery coming up that may require pain medications after-wards during recovery. What do you do in this type of situation? Any pointers would be great as I'm getting really anxious thinking about it... It is probably a situation where I can just pass on the medications and have some bad pain for a couple weeks, which is probably my best option but ...
