I have contacted every member literally of the Virginia government as far as delegates, senate, senators and the governor goes. I have also contacted multiple organizations such as NAMA, SAMSHA, and the AATOD. I have multiple organizations fighting behalf of Virginia patients. We could use all the help we can get, and it doesn't matter what state you live in if you can please sign the petition. It has gotten overwhelming support over the last ...

Post subject: Is There Anything We Can Do?
PostPosted: Tue Feb 14, 2017 11:59 pm
With all the information we have here on our forum it seems most of it goes to waste concerning the DEA, or any government entity when deciding how best to handle the opiate crisis.

So many doctors will only accept cash, which I do understand to some extent depending on services rendered like our own Dr. Junig. But a lot of others only want the money and it makes me wonder if they are really ...

 Post subject: Pre/re-employment urine screening
PostPosted: Thu Feb 02, 2017 2:05 pm
Hello all. I am an RN on suboxone, with an Rx receiving treatment from an addiction specialist. I have never been in trouble legally or with any nursing board. I sought help before things got to that point. Although I Am very fortunate the **** didn't hit the fan before i got treatment. All that aside, my question or concern is as follows, I am returning to a place (hospital) where I was previously employed. ...

 Post subject: Nursing and Suboxone
PostPosted: Thu Jan 19, 2017 12:02 am
Can a person who is prescribed suboxone get liscensed as a nurse? Does it vary by state? I am particularly talking about the state of South Carolina. I called the nursing board and did not get a difinitive answer. They said it's up to your employer if your already a nurse. For people who aren't a nurse yet and are taking sub then it's on a case by case basis. If prescribed sub as an ...

PostPosted: Wed Dec 07, 2016 5:52 am
I am from a small town in upper Michigan. All forms of suboxone treatment have been banned in my town and the entire upper peninsula with the exception of pregnant females. Patients are forced to travel to recieve treatment. I was driving to Chicago every month to recieve treatment. On my last visit, the doc tells me that the cops called him and threatened him about seeing any patients from my town. There reasoning was ...

Post subject: What meds are legal for U.S. Drs to treat opiate addiction?
PostPosted: Sat Nov 05, 2016 10:59 pm
Folks come here and wonder why their Dr. will not prescribe an opioid taper to stop opiods? Or can their Dr. prescribe Butrans w its small dosages as a way to taper off Suboxone, Bunavail, Zubsolve etc...?

What meds are legally allowed to U.S. Drs to treat opiate addiction? Excluding psyche and comfort meds, etc...

Not asking for all the laws and regs bc that's likely a long story. I am asking which meds can ...

Post subject: HELP Hawaii effectively banning outpatient treatment!!
PostPosted: Sat Sep 17, 2016 1:53 am
Saw my sub Dr today. He told me some new gungho agent in the Hawaii Narcotics Enforcement Division has decided to make it his mission to ruin thousands of peoples' lives. Hawaii revised statues apparently don't have a buprenorphine provision--the law currently still says narcotics can't be prescribed for detox or maintenance. We have Walgreen's, CVS, and a few dozen independent pharmacies. Walgreen's has, after a call from the NED agent, STOPPED dispensing suboxone for ...

Post subject: Bupe saved my life, but am I an idiot???
PostPosted: Fri Aug 26, 2016 3:19 am
So, I wont go into my full story, but I first discovered bupe in 2009, when I had been clean for 8 months from a 300mg/day OxyContin habit. I was in a drug court program for 18 months and my dad got sick and passed away. I had a 20 year prison sentence over my head if I didn't complete the program. I started buying suboxone from a friend and took them at first for ...

So here's my story, I have been on suboxone for over a year now. I discovered I was pregnant and told my doctor he then put me on subutex. My son was born on April 17, he had no w/d. None. The day before we leave to come home child protective services show up. My husband and I both take mouth swabs for her and passed with flying colors. The cops worker has been coming ...

Post subject: Cap raising to 200? CNN reports yes on March 29, 2016
PostPosted: Tue Mar 29, 2016 7:53 pm
Has anyone else heard about this? CNN reported this afternoon, Tuesday, March 29, 2016, that president Obama announced today he was raising the provider cap from 100 to 200. Sadly, no details, time-line or other are being included. Here's the story:

http://www.cnn.com/2016/03/29/health/ob ... rug-abuse/

Does anyone else have any info? The whitehouse said last year the cap would increase by the end of 2015. That obviously did not happen. ...
