PostPosted: Tue Jun 27, 2017 3:43 pm
My refill is due today. My doc was supposed to have the refill ready for me to pick up. But he didn't have it ready and is on vacation until the 5th of July. I am breastfeeding. Should I stop breastfeeding while I withdraw? Will my body release toxins into my breastmilk from withdrawing?
Also, some words of encouragement and support would be great. I have a 4 year old with ADD and 4 ...

 Post subject: Unmedicated childbirth?
PostPosted: Wed Jun 21, 2017 5:17 pm
Hey all. I was curious if there were any experiences here of natural, unmedicated childbirth. I am 27 weeks along and on 8-12 mg of Subutex a day. I am not opposed to an epidural or wanting to go unmedicated for anti-drug reasons. I am simply terrified of the side effects of an epidural; slowing or stalling labor, vacuum assisted delivery, not being able to move around, needing a catheter, lack of movement on my ...

PostPosted: Wed Jun 21, 2017 4:56 pm
Hello all. I know there are numerous posts regarding this but some are quite a few years old and I would like more current information.
I live in Alabama and am currently on 12mg Subutex prescribed by my psychiatrist (addiction specialist) and cleared by my OB. (OB did not and does not recommend discontinuing or weaning at any point). His stance is that, although methadone is the standard of care for opioid addiction in pregnancy ...

Post subject: Subutex and nursing and what happens when baby weans??
PostPosted: Mon Jun 19, 2017 6:43 pm
Hey all. I was on Suboxone for almost 2 years (this time) when I found out I was pregnant in January this year. My psychiatrist (suboxone prescriber) switched me to Subutex and I am his first pregnant patient so he doesn't have a ton of info on what happens after I deliver. My OB recommended I not discontinue or decrease my dose during my pregnancy. I am prescribed 12 mg a day but currently take ...

I really need some advice/reassurance. I am 35 weeks pregnant with my first child (32 years old). I have been taking suboxone for almost a year and a half and have been doing very well on it. I was only taking about 1 mg a day when I found out I was pregnant. My sub doctor assured me that there would be no adverse effects to the baby and encouraged me to stay on ...
