Post subject: 35 days in the NICU
PostPosted: Mon Nov 06, 2017 11:17 am
To say I was not prepared is an understatement! I knew a NICU stay and treatment were possible but I fully believed that because I was in subutex that the wd would be mild and that if she did end up being treated it would likely be due to overscoring by the nurses. I never thought my daughter would have full blown wd. Never! While there is no way I could’ve prepared myself for this ...

Post subject: Still in NICU... almost 1 month...
PostPosted: Sat Oct 21, 2017 11:15 am
My daughter turned 3 weeks old this past Wednesday and has been in the NICU right at 3 weeks yesterday. She’s still got a ways to go and I’m struggling with the emotional back and forth and the uncertainty of the process. We had an amazing nurse the last few days who was really excellent about getting me all the info she could (I never am able to catch the doc or nurse practitioner when ...

Post subject: Bupre, breastfeeding and weaning
PostPosted: Tue Oct 10, 2017 11:06 am
Hi all together,
I am back after years. My boy is well although I kept taking 0,6 mg bupre a day while nursing.
Now I want to stop both things.
As I want to use lyrica or oxazepam as helpers, I want to stop the nursing first. My boy is now 31 months and he some days doesn't drink already.
BUT NOW my doctor says that I can't stop nursing, that I have to wean ...

 Post subject: Morphine wean update
PostPosted: Sun Oct 08, 2017 1:37 am
Hey all. I posted the other day regarding my frustration w my daughter's wean. She is 10 days old and has now been in the NICU on morphine 8 days. She started on .37 mg and decreased quickly; Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, and again Wednesday, from .37 every 3 hours to 11 every 6 hours. After the last decrease and the spacing of her dose she began to struggle; crying inconsolably again, increased muscle tone, fast ...

Post subject: Discouraged with NICU and weaning process
PostPosted: Tue Oct 03, 2017 5:14 am
I took 8mg subutex throughout my pregnancy. My daughter was born Wednesday 9/27 and began exhibiting some signs of w/d almost immediately. The most significant was high pitched screaming. Sge was admitted to the NICU Thursday night and scored 8 and 11 and started on .375mg of morphine every 3 hours. She did much better w her scores after this and significantly more comfortable. There was some debate on my nursing or feeding breastmilk in ...

Post subject: 22 weeks no script yet CPS?
PostPosted: Mon Sep 25, 2017 7:35 am
Ok I'm starting to get a little freaked out. I'm 22 weeks pregnant, this is my first Suboxone baby. I take about 1mg a day. I told my ob I take Suboxone but I also tol them I have a script. The only reason I told them I have a script is because I planned on getting one right after I left the apt but we is hit major money issues (it costs 140 every ...

Post subject: Bottle feeding to help the weaning process?
PostPosted: Sat Aug 26, 2017 2:51 pm
So my son is towards the end of his morphine wean (was on subutex .5 before giving birth) He is on his last dose- .06 . The weekend doc "suggested" that if I still take bupe maybe bottle feeding at this time would benefit him. Yes I do take bupe still and increased my dose to about 1.5 daily. I figured it would help him and me.He does get formula about 1/3 of the time ...

Post subject: Almost full term and getting anxious
PostPosted: Fri Aug 18, 2017 12:27 pm
Hey all. I don't really have a question or anything too specific to talk about... just needing to vent I guess. I started looking for info and experiences here well into the 2nd trimester of my pregnancy {FTM}. I wasn't told very much by my OB regarding what to expect once my daughter is born and I am my psychiatrist's (suboxone prescriber) first pregnant patient so he doesn't have very much information either. Seems they're ...

Post subject: Moms who have gone thru their Baby weaning ...
PostPosted: Thu Aug 17, 2017 3:07 pm
Hi again..It seems that a lot of woman went home at day 2. If my son were to have gone home by day 2 (which he wouldn't cuz they wanted to wait 3, then 4 , then 5 days) ..he wouldn't have showed any signs of W/D yet. It took 3-4 days.To me it was mild ..I felt I could have handled it at home. I was on about .35 mg. Subutex. Super low dose. ...
