Oldies but goodies, oldies but baddies... YouTube vids sharing one doc's opinions about opioid dependence, buprenorphine, and the meaning of life. No, I don't know everything... but I have some ideas about this addiction thing...

The Addiction Remission mobile app has a new section.
"Bupe Vids" will give you information on most questions about Buprenorphine.
Dr Junig, this is a wonderful idea and hopefully many will use this to educate themselves and
there providers.
For thoses who do not have this app I highly suggest you get it..

Was opiate withdrawal cured over 30 years ago? Did the government tell the doctors that discovered the cure that it was in their best interest to keep it to themselves because to many jobs would be lost if the truth got out? Are baby's being born addicted and screaming in torture for nothing when this could be easily avoided if the hospitals around the world new this secret? Does anybody know what this secret is ...

Post subject: Suboxone is switching one drug for another
PostPosted: Wed Oct 23, 2013 6:30 pm
One of the most common anti-sub comments I hear. As I spend more time treating addiction, I become less and less excited to be a buprenorphine cheerleader, simply because I've learned that if a person is not begging for help, it is a waste of everyone's time trying to treat that person. That said, buprenorphine treatment is getting black eyes from the diversion problem... and it is important now, more than ever, that people remain ...

Post subject: How Suboxone Works I
PostPosted: Fri Oct 18, 2013 10:14 pm
This is an old one---- but it explains the basics of how Suboxone works, including a brief description of neurotransmitters, tolerance, and the mechanism behind precipitated withdrawal. I would like to do this one over again eventually... This was one of the first youtube videos that I made, back when I first got interested in buprenorphine.

 Post subject: Buprenorphine and Beyond
PostPosted: Fri Oct 18, 2013 6:43 pm
Suboxone is just the first iteration of a new approach to treating opioid dependence. I anticipate the introduction of a variety of buprenorphine-based medications, as well as the use of molecules related to buprenorphine that may eventually provide assistance for discontinuing buprenorphine, for example.

This video discusses the new buprenorphine medications on the market, and a quick look at what is around the corner.

Post subject: Help-- I can't stop Suboxone!
PostPosted: Wed Oct 16, 2013 12:47 am
Still working on the video thing.... I've made a couple changes. First, I've opened comments after my videos. Try to be productive; 'this video sucks' would be, sort of, the opposite of productive.

An association with an up and coming media company called 'FullScreen' may provide a chance to run with the video thing. If anyone else out there is a youtube partner and would like to join FullScreen, send me a message and I'll ...
