 Post subject: Losing It
PostPosted: Wed Nov 08, 2017 10:07 pm
I don’t feel like myself this week. Or maybe I feel more like myself than I have in a long time. I’ve begun to question and examine beliefs I’ve held since childhood. Beliefs that had been etched indelibly upon both ego and psyche, pushing me into an endless cycle of sin and repentance. Who can dance that dance forever?

Not I.

I don’t disbelieve in my Higher Power, but I’m not inclined to render my ...

Post subject: Drug tested..THC barely showed up.
PostPosted: Tue Oct 03, 2017 2:25 pm
So I haven't smoked marijuana in 15 years at least. Was never a fan. So with that being said I have a interesting situation. So on Sunday im at a friends house that does smoke but not when I'm around. Anyways i ask him if he has any gum? He says no then remembers he does have some altoids but he keeps them with his stash of weed cause it helps "mask" the smell of ...

Post subject: I have a friend that needs help!
PostPosted: Tue Sep 19, 2017 12:47 am
We are all here because we are addicts of one drug or another. I have a dear friend that won't realize she is back to square one. What do you say? What do you do to help? She was hooked on Meth for a very long time, and did some prison time for it. She got clean and was for over 10 years. Then she was diagnosed with MS. So then came all the drugs ...

 Post subject: Suboxone and Alcoholism
PostPosted: Mon Sep 18, 2017 8:24 pm
Prior to my induction on Suboxone, or rather, Zubsolv--actually, prior to my acute opiate addiction--I had some problems with alcohol. Full disclosure, I'm type II bipolar, and right around the time I turned legal drinking age, my family up and moved from my childhood home. I medicated my resultant depression with Bacardi. A lot of it. Up to a 750ml bottle a night. I eventually stopped, but continued to have on again/off again problems with ...

Post subject: Stigma Over Solutions (Media Bias against Subs etc
PostPosted: Mon Jul 17, 2017 5:10 pm
I joined a year ago, but never post. I felt this article was worth sharing. Hope I am in the right forum.

It basically argues that the media is enabling the opiate crisis by ignoring evidence-based solutions, and enabling temperance-style politician and groups to dominate the debate. Also discussed racism in drug war coverage over years.

But even as reporters display more sympathy (New York Times, 10/30/15), media ...

 Post subject: Supervised Injection Facilities
PostPosted: Sat Jul 15, 2017 1:19 am ... story.html

I think this is genius! They need heroin shooting bars everywhere and asap. Many lives will be saved. Clean needles for everyone must be a must! Now there won't be needles scattered everywhere, they can be safely disposed of at the facility. And they can check your pulse to make sure ur still alive

 Post subject: The Rehab Rort
PostPosted: Mon Jun 19, 2017 1:16 am
An interesting article about the rivers of gold to be found in inpatient addiction treatment centres. I wonder if the rehab industry would be in such a boom if operators were honest about their success rates. In my experience it doesn't matter ONE BIT how expensive the rehab is, how good their program is, what treatment methodology they run. Usually one person in 20 stays clean for 2+ years regardless of the quality of the ...

 Post subject: Psychology vs psychiatry.
PostPosted: Tue Apr 18, 2017 9:32 pm
This isn't so much about Suboxone as it is about treatment approaches to life problems, trauma, personal development. I was hoping to hear from people who've seen both psychologists and psychiatrists, and to get their take on what worked for them long term.

Reason I ask is I find myself in a juncture at the moment where both my psychiatrist and myself have been medicating the symptoms of my issues for all of my adult ...

 Post subject: Please advise me
PostPosted: Tue Mar 21, 2017 7:24 pm
Before I start, I would like to point out that I do realize how obvious it is that I shouldn't be on sub any more.

Ive taken suboxone since I was a sophomore in high school and I'm 25 years old now. So about ten years I guess.

I started taking it because it gave me confidence and got rid of my social anxiety. Not only that, it numbed me out so I started working ...
