PostPosted: Sun Nov 12, 2017 6:47 pm

I have a friend who needs higher doses and even after spinal surgery has problems getting prescriptions or getting them filled after written.

With all the new laws on opiates will that effect doctors that write suboxone or patients that need it?

I ...

my doctor retired and the new one will not prescribe refills. Says it's the law in NJ that state funded facilities cannot prescribe refills. My old doctor did, i would get 2 refills.

The reason it's a problem is because i moved over an hour away from the clinic i have been going to for 13 years and the ...

Post subject: An honest appraisal of being a lifelong Subber
PostPosted: Wed Oct 11, 2017 12:00 am
Hey guys.

Just wanted to collect some thoughts on the concept of being on Suboxone for life. I believe most people know when they've come to the decision to stay on Suboxone indefinitely. How do you feel about this state of being? How comfortable are you in this decision?

What are the positives, and what are the downsides? Without getting too technical about side-effects, or all the politics of lifers vs detoxers vs abstainers. How ...

Imagine if we were all given a vaccine that prevented us from becoming addicted to drugs in the first place. This vaccine has the potential to eradicate a global scourge that costs the world trillions in health costs, crime, lost productivity and human life. It's relatively inexpensive and could revolutionise addiction treatment in first and third world countries alike.

Unfortunately pharmaceutical companies are largely more interested in long term profits from pushing maintenance ...

Post subject: Managing a new pain
PostPosted: Tue Sep 26, 2017 11:26 am
Hi everyone. About one week ago I developed this strange pain in my right knee. "Developed" is really not the right word, because when I went to bed the night before it wasn't there and when I woke up next morning boom-there it was. The pain itself is not super intense but is bothersome. But, I'm having difficulty bending my knee all the way and lifting my leg off the ground. And when I walk ...

I have now been on Suboxone since early August, does anyone else experience sweating while sleeping? I wake up because of the sweating. It's awful actually, I am drenched! Thought I already went through menopause. Anyone going through the same?
