Post subject: In-Network Dr.(UHC) excludes Subox treatment co-pay
PostPosted: Mon Sep 18, 2017 8:26 pm
Hi. I'm Fed up with greedy doctors taking advantage of the Insured patients coming in for Suboxone treatment. I live in Orlando, Florida and I drive an hour and 15 minutes to New Smyrna Bch. , Florida to get treatment and prescriptions of Suboxone. The price has steadily risen from $125 to $175 over the years. At one point my doctor gave me great news. He was becoming an in-network physician with United Health Care. ...

Post subject: Opus Health Savings Card Issues
PostPosted: Sun Sep 17, 2017 2:47 pm
This is the manufacturer savings card that reduces your copay to $25. I've been using it for 5 years and never had an issue up until this month. They would only let me take 30 doses instead of the 60 I usually get. 15 days later When it was time to get the rest of my prescription they said I wasn't due for another 10 days. It makes no sense because this card was working ...

Post subject: Suboxone Patient Assistance Program, Anyone on it?
PostPosted: Fri Sep 15, 2017 7:52 pm
As of Tuesday this week I applied for the Suboxone patient assistance program because I no longer have any insurance or way to pay for my medicine. I am truly hoping that they accept me and send me a pharmacy card to pay for my meds. I am just wondering if anyone else is on the program and how long it took for you to be accepted or denied? It has been 3 days since ...

Post subject: Envision RX drops suboxone/prior auth denied/appeal denied
PostPosted: Sun Sep 10, 2017 3:06 pm
Envision RX has unlisted suboxone from their "covered meds" list and hit me with a prior auth on the Labor Day weekend. My doctor submitted the prior auth form the following Tuesday and then contacted me Wed to say that the insurance denied the prior auth. The reason?! They claim that my doctor is treating more than 275 patients for opiate dependance although they haven't proven in any way that they have proof of this. ...

Post subject: Has anyone been reimbursed by Highmark for Sub Medical Claim
PostPosted: Sat Jul 01, 2017 2:45 pm
I've since switched to a regular medical dr who prescribes. I pay $30 co-pay for a specialist visit and $25 for suboxone prescription. I was paying $200/mo at a clinic so that's what i'm trying to get reimbursed for.
I was told by highmark before I even started treatment to file a major medical claim to get reimbursed.
Well, it took them 7 months to finally get all the info they needed from me to ...

Post subject: Newly withdrawing. Any advice?
PostPosted: Wed Dec 14, 2016 10:31 pm
I'm down to an expired as of 9/16 8.2 mg dose cut into 1/48th, which I think is about .2mg and have withdrawals. I take it twice a day. Does it become less effective opened for so long? I smell everything and of course am cold and have nausea and tachycardia. Frustrating perspiring where i don't want it. No appetite and oddly want HOT spicy stuff when I do. I don't know when to quit ...

PostPosted: Wed Oct 26, 2016 10:18 pm
Oct 21, 2016 'Health insurer Cigna Corp has discontinued its policy of requiring doctors to seek authorization before treating opioid addicts, as part of a fight against an epidemic of opioid abuse, New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman said on Friday.'

'The policy change will apply nationally, said Schneiderman, who has been pushing for easier access to treatments for the estimated 2.2 million Americans who need treatment for abuse of heroin or prescription painkillers.'

Post subject: united healthcare through my job at kraft heinz won't cover
PostPosted: Tue Aug 16, 2016 1:50 am
I am new to here but have been reading these forums for a while... I was wondering if anyone knew if there is any way I can get my united healthcare coverage through kraft heinz to cover zubsolv? My last job I had united healthcare and it covered zubsolv, but for some reason they don't cover any buprenorphin products. As of right now my only option is to use the copay card from orexo pharmaceuticals ...

Post subject: BCBS has stopped covering my labs...
PostPosted: Tue Apr 05, 2016 2:54 pm
I've been on Subs for about 5 years. My doctor requires me to take a drug test every month. For the first 4 years Blue Cross never game me a problem with paying for these labs. However at the end of last year they stopped paying for them. These labs are nearly 1500 a month. When I first noticed Blue Cross had stopped paying for the labs I asked the nurse at my doctors office ...
