So as quite a few of you know I went cold turkey off 8mg close to a month ago by using Kratom, etc.. Well a new development has arisen...the Kratom absolutely is destroying my stomach...not a second of sleep last night and throwing up well over 100 times. I'm in Austin and trying to find a Dr. today since my former one just vanished into thin air. I don't have $300 for induction(especially missing work)..I ...

PostPosted: Wed Feb 22, 2017 8:23 pm
Had to stop Suboxone cold turkey cuz health insurance no longer covered prescription and it cost too much. Was taking 8mg twice daily for 7 months. On day 19 today but still having lots of pains, is this normal? Any idea when physical withdrawal symptoms will stop or start to get better?

Post subject: Jumping off at 2mg.
PostPosted: Mon Feb 20, 2017 11:23 am
I know there are similar topics but I guess Im just nervous as hell since the decision has been made to jump from 2mg starting this Friday. I have been on Subs for around 2 years and other than a brief time where i went up to 7-8 mg a day about 4 months ago the previous 1.5 years I took right at 1-1.5 mg a day. After hitting 8 mg over the span of ...

Post subject: New to site- taper plan, last dose was wed. Day 2 no dose
PostPosted: Fri Feb 17, 2017 8:05 pm
I have been on Suboxone for 7 years. I had a several year opiate addiction. I finally got on Suboxone. I have no doubt it saved my life, not to mention job, reputation, etc. My Dr had me on 16 mg / day. When I ask him about getting off of Suboxone he said "some people stay on it for life"
Well I tapered down to 8mg about a year ago. Then I finally got ...

Post subject: Tapering Subutex after using bup IV?
PostPosted: Fri Feb 03, 2017 4:42 pm
So, I'll be the first to acknowledge the immensity of a disaster I've worked my way into. I'll summarize, and honestly I don't feel like going into much detail but want to give sufficient info too.
Basically I moved from the city to a pass-thru town with nothing but tumbleweeds around. This was about a month ago; it was my half-baked attempt to quit heroin/opiates. Been on and off IV smack for six years, two ...

Post subject: Aids ins tapering and post-Sub.

Hi, Gang.
For context, please see my introductory post at:
post113145.html#p113145

Per your suggestions, when I saw my doctor a few days ago, I had him switch me from the 8mg film to 4mg, so I can continue a consistent taper.
As I begin to see light at the end of the tunnel, I'm now starting to look into some of the many withdrawal aids I've seen on the ...

Post subject: Tapering at .50mg a day while working full time...
PostPosted: Sat Jan 28, 2017 11:32 am
Hello. What a relief it is to finally "vent" and talk with others whom can relate.

I will try not to drag out this post. Just to give you a basic background, I have been silently fighting this battle on my own. I started my Tapper with my doctor and my own research. I successfully managed to tapper to 1 milligram with not too much of problems. I got stuck at 1 milligram for a ...

Post subject: My version of getting off Sub's after close to 10 years
PostPosted: Fri Jan 27, 2017 12:17 pm
Hello All;
I've read this board through the years and due to so many great answers, never really felt the need to post until now. I'm clean from Subs for close to 2.5 months and feel Great and thought I would share my detox story. I read so many other posts and they were really helpful, so I thought I would give back.
Please remember this; it seems each unique body chemistry reacts differently to ...

 Post subject: Liquid taper question
PostPosted: Thu Jan 26, 2017 9:43 am
I am on my last 8mg subutex pill. I am really interested in the liquid taper, but since I only have one pill I am nervous about ruining any portion of it if I mess up the dissolving technique. My question is: Aren't subutex (I have the generic made by Roxane/Wes) designed so you can't dissolve them? I was under the impression that since they could be abused by injecting them, an additive in the ...
