Post subject: My Suboxone taper plan
PostPosted: Tue Oct 17, 2017 12:03 pm
I tapered down from 2mg to 1.5 for a week then to 1 mg. I noticed that when I went down I felt a bit uneasy for a few days and so I took it a few hours earlier. Now that I've been down to 1mg for a few weeks I feel perfectly good. I talked with my doc and he said that's normal for coming down to feel that way. I am aiming for ...

Post subject: Using opiates to get off sub
PostPosted: Tue Oct 03, 2017 12:25 pm
I know I'm going to get crucified for saying this but oxy got me off subs. I was on nothing but subs for at least 2 years. Did pills for 2 weeks straight and came off those with some sub for 3 days then cold turkey. It wasn't as bad as you think. The 2 weeks got most the sub out of my system then I used a little for just 3 days to get ...

Post subject: Seven Weeks Today and Sleep Has Returned
PostPosted: Fri Sep 22, 2017 5:44 pm
Today marks 7 weeks since jumping (Aug. 5th). I had been doing a personal journal since day 1 but as days began to feel the same and nothing really new to add, I got lazy and have paused for at least 8-10 days. My wife and I just got back from a mini vacation to D.C. We left Monday night and got back before noon today. My only blood niece lives nearby to D.C. and ...

Post subject: 6 weeks post Sub - what are thoughts adding Low Dose Naltrex
PostPosted: Fri Sep 22, 2017 4:29 pm
I am six weeks since last Suboxone. Just jumped slow taper not for me.. Doing well so far except for some intestinal issues and fatigue. Also developed powerful hyperosmia, which is like super human ability to smell (a condition associated with benzo withdrawal but I feel like bupe withdrawal can be added). I was just wondering if a low dose of Naltrexone would help speed this along or are all the opiate receptirs empty and ...

Post subject: Day 38 and Counting
PostPosted: Mon Sep 11, 2017 9:24 am
Good Morning All,
Started my jump off sub on Aug. 5, so day 38. Just wanted to comment on the fear associated with withdrawal and my experience so far. Almost as a guide for me, though Dr. J said there is no magic recipe, I looked to Dr. Steven Scanlon's piece on how he detoxes people off subs at his South Florida office. Ironically part of his Title is "Fear is Caused by Lack of ...

Post subject: Anyone used ibogaine with or after Suboxone?
PostPosted: Tue Sep 05, 2017 7:39 pm
I talked to an ibogaine center after watching a few videos and reading about it.
Unfortunately with Suboxone, this is what the center said:
The center suggested finding a doctor that will prescribe enough, hydro or oxycodone,to keep person out if withdrawal and to use it as prescribed for 60-90 days if possible, but they'll work with 30.
The person to be treated can use the short acting opiates until day before first dose of ibogaine.

The cost ...

Post subject: Cold Turkey from 16 mgs
PostPosted: Mon Sep 04, 2017 8:35 pm
So I'm on day 7 of going cold turkey from 16 mgs buprenorphine. I'm interested to know if the withdrawal truly starts or gets worse at this point. I've read horror stories saying that this is so. Thanks for any insight and for reading.

 Post subject: Jumping Off Question
PostPosted: Sat Sep 02, 2017 3:52 pm
So Im a new user ot this site, not so much to suboxone and opiate dependence/addiction. This year I was on suboxone and decided to taper. The taper went by and I successfully got down to .5mg a day and jumped. 14 days in I was tired of being sick and I caved in to my friend who had take-home methadone doses. I did like 35mg two days ago, and Im really curious if I ...
