I will soon be stopping my suboxone use and have tried preparing as much as possible. I have read the "Thomas Recipe" and others suggestions, but couldn't find details on the supplements, such as quantities/how often, etc. Here are my questions:
What quantities of vitamins/supplements are suggested/safe to use during withdrawal?
Should I start on any of these before I quit?
Is there anything I should remove from my list or add?

Here is my ...

Hey folks long time lurker first time poster. I want to share my story to date in order to hopefully give people confidence in coming off suboxone if that is their plan. I also want to add that I am a 34yr old male.

My back story is a tad bit different in that I had an injury 4 years ago and was on pain pills for only 4-1/2 months. I became a whimp from ...

Post subject: Is cold turkey working for me?
PostPosted: Sat Jun 17, 2017 10:13 pm
Hi

I have been on here before but not for a while.

I have been on suboxone for about 2.5 yrs I think. I was started on 8mg and quickly went right up to 32mg. Here in Australia that dose is common for people with large habits over a long period of time.
So I have been on 8mg for the past 6 months, which I dropped straight from 16mg.

About once a week i'll ...

Post subject: Burping, Bloating, GERD, and PAWS

I used subs for about 3 years. I quit cold turkey from approximately 6mg. I am currently 42 days clean and I do feel good, however, the PAWS are a struggle.

I was wondering though if anyone else ever experienced anything like this during withdrawals, especially this far along. I am burping every day like dozens of times. For the first two weeks of the withdrawals I was getting extremely bloated no matter how much ...

Post subject: Finding the right plan
PostPosted: Sat Jun 10, 2017 9:21 pm
I'll start with a little bit of history. Started using prescription pain meds about 14-15 years ago. For the past 4 years I've been using sub on and off. At first it was to try to stop the other stuff, but eventually it really just became a cheaper alternative. I was buying them off the streets as well.
Now currently I really just want to get off of everything. I have gone to a Dr ...

Today was tough. It really did take me getting off bupe to realize that I, not bupe, wasted ten years of my life. I honestly do not see myself right now making it through.
Today is only day 23 and thoughts of the months ahead of the mental agony have gotten to me because I felt the first real depression and malaise today, probably because I was mostly idle.
I say this because I want ...

Post subject: 9 Years on Suboxone 16-24mg daily - I WANT TO STOP!!!
PostPosted: Tue Jun 06, 2017 11:06 pm
So I've been on Suboxone for 9 straight years. Over that time, I have not had a drop of alcohol or any other drug. I am active in a 12 step program and my life has improved dramatically since I got "CLEAN'' in January of 2008.

Over the last year, I have started using more than my dr. prescribed and have had to supplement the additional subs through "alternative" means. I am so tired of ...

Hi All, I have been lurking in these threads for awhile now and are impressed with all the great advice and caring members. I have been taking suboxone for about 18 months - 2-4 mg day. I have bad teeth and just had $3000 in dental work done which was fine while on suboxone but now I need to have my wisdom teeth out and was referred to an oral surgeon- they are all 4 ...
