 Post subject: Probuphine (Suboxone implant)
PostPosted: Sun Oct 08, 2017 8:51 am
Hi everyone. My name is Brit and I'm a 30 year old addict that received the Probuphine implant in Feb 2017. I've since had it removed as it is only approved for a 6 month time period. I'd like to help spread the word about this treatment but am also in search of someone out there who has also had it so we can share our experiences with each other. Please feel free to ask ...

Post subject: New to forum, but not to Suboxone
PostPosted: Fri Oct 06, 2017 8:18 pm
Hi everyone! I have been on Suboxone now for about three years (I had a account on here when I first started it, but I don’t remember my username or if I even posted anything). I was on methadone for a year prior to beginning Suboxone. Currently I am on 2 mg per day (I started out at 24 mg!-which was waaaaay too high of a dose for me...). My life has entirely changed from ...

Post subject: I'm back after a few months
PostPosted: Tue Oct 03, 2017 12:05 pm
I had posted on here a few times and talked to some good people. I was on my way tapering off subs. To get to the point, a good family friend of mine died in a car accident the night before my stepfather took his own life. It was a rough week to say the least. Of course I turned to pills for my grieving. Which you guessed started the whole cycle all over. Anyways ...

Post subject: I'm here, so I'm making progress right?
PostPosted: Tue Sep 26, 2017 8:29 am
Long story short, I have had 3 other attempts on suboxone that have failed. Two while in rehab (horrible doc's with horrible taper plans that left me 30 days out of rehab sick as a dog both times), and once on my own with absolutely no support and living on the streets.

Flash forward to now. I have been on subs since early may, and despite a few new (what appear to be) side effects, ...

Post subject: Day 6 of Suboxone detox
PostPosted: Tue Sep 26, 2017 7:31 am
I'm on day 6 and I still have some nausea, depression and aches and pains. Unfortunately, my employers are assholes about the fact that I'm on a med taper (they call it a "personal choice"), so I've had to return to work...which is a bitch! Yesterday was only day 5 and I was really feeling poorly...but I made it. To add insult to injury, day 5 was a Monday and my car was broken into ...

Post subject: Another positive story to be told....
PostPosted: Mon Sep 25, 2017 2:34 pm
Hi all, well, I finally joined after several years of lurking. I find the most inspirational components of these types of websites, whether they be pro or con suboxone is reading about the experiences of fellow addicts. With that being said, here's mine.... I am a 50 year woman with 4 years of active addiction, approx 200 mg a day of whatever I could get my hands on, that was just to stay "well." Like ...

 Post subject: Hi everyone
PostPosted: Fri Sep 15, 2017 1:10 pm
Hi everyone. I've read this forum on and off, but I've finally decided to join and hop into the discussions.

I'm 27. I started using opiates when I was eighteen. I had easy access to them from my grandmother, who basically treated them like candy. I eventually moved on to heroin when the pills weren't enough—I only weigh about 140 pounds but could take 100mg+ hydrocodone without any problems. My grandmother passed away in the ...
