Post subject: New here./ have a serious question.
PostPosted: Thu Aug 17, 2017 6:03 am
Hey guys. First I'd like to say Wow. I didn't know this site existed? Excited to have just joined. Ive already read hundreds of posts.
So i would like to explain something that i cant rationalize.
And this will be long, so please don't read if it makes you mad. I understand. Not much has been harder for me than navigating my life of sobriety on suboxone through the dark waters of stigma, judgement, desensitized ...

Hello! I am a 53 yr old opioid addict. I sought Suboxone treatment a little over a week ago. So far so good. I have been on prescription opioids since a cervical spine surgery in 2008. Each year that went by I had to have more and stronger meds for my pain. I have degenerative disc disease among other spinal issues. I am facing two major surgeries in the near future. The first will be ...

 Post subject: Jumping Off Suboxone
PostPosted: Fri Aug 04, 2017 4:36 pm
I am 70 years old and have been on suboxone since May 2011. I thought I would remain on this drug for the rest of my life. However, after going month after month to a clinic, being urine tested monthly (at times observed) counseling, money spent, etc. it grew to be "too much". I made the decision to quit. Besides, did I want to be on this drug in the autumn of my life until ...

Hey all,

Just wanted to give a little bit of an introduction before really diving in to posting more on the forum.

I'm about to turn 26, and have been battling addiction for a little less than 10 years. It progressed quite slowly, through various substances, which ultimately led me to starting buprenorphine.
My story is similar to a lot of us - started dabbling in opiate pills in 2011 after I had an emergency ...

I have been on opiates since 1971 for pain and became very addicted. My tolerance is high and the opiates just do not help with the pain anymore. I found relief with Suboxone from my addiction and have found that it helps me with the pain most days. I have just went down to 8mg per day (one film each am) and now I have some days that the pain is getting bad. The Suboxone ...

Nice to meet all. Very glad to be here. I was on a Suboxone for 9 years. Unfortunately I was taken off cold turkey over 2 years ago due to family threats of leaving my life, threats i go to church and that I needed holistic medicine, they would not support me once they found out I was on Suboxone, or really any psychiatric med. They somehow found out and googled(sigh) Suboxone & came to ...

Post subject: Suboxone and 12 step
PostPosted: Sat Jul 29, 2017 6:45 am
Hi everyone!
I'm hoping to find connections with people that like me are doing a hybrid therapy program. I have been sober on Suboxone for 10 months. It's the longest period of time I have been sober in 10 years and I feel like with the combination of 12 step, therapy and Suboxone my life is in a very good place now and will be in the future. I had been serously addicted to opiates, benzodiazepines ...

First off I want to say thank you to all the people that have taken the time to post their knowledge and experiences on these forums. I have been reading as much as possible for about a year and have learned so much from all of you. Now that I have finally found my maintenance "sweet spot," so to speak, I want to help and give back any way I can.

Quick background. I am ...
