I've been on Suboxone for 2 years. Same dose 1.5 a day.. Always taking dose between 6am and 10am..I've noticed over the last year that if for whatever reason I couldn't take my dose at the normal time and I don't take it until around 6pm or later in the evening I will have these slight pains in my legs and knees..where I fill like I can't stretch enough or bend at the knees enough ...

Post subject: A Different Sleep Problem
PostPosted: Mon Jul 31, 2017 4:48 pm
Hello new friends.

I am not surprised that I have sleep issues with suboxone as sleep issues seem to be very common. I understand buprenorphine is an analog of thebaine and so it is not surprising that it has stimulatory effects in some people. The thing is, most people seem to have problems GETTING to sleep, or that it makes them sleepy during the day like a classic opioid. But in my case ~

I ...

Post subject: Modafinil to combat sleepiness
PostPosted: Sat Jul 15, 2017 1:17 pm
I think sleepiness or the struggle to wake up in the morning possibly is a documented side effect of sub, it is for me at least, and I was wondering what others thoughts would be on using Modafinil to combat the sleepiness. I have trouble waking up and I get sleepy all day, so I'm contemplating using this to help. I've used it before and things were great. But I'm not sure how habit forming ...

Post subject: Sudden nausea after 6 months
PostPosted: Mon Jul 10, 2017 2:10 am
I have been on suboxone for over 6 months now and I started at 12 mg and I have worked my way down to 6 mg. Everything has been fine until about 10 days ago I started to feel nausea daily and have been throwing up sometimes. It hits me randomly where I will feel really hot and nauseous and then throw up a few times. I have not changed my dose in a while ...

PostPosted: Sat Jul 08, 2017 12:52 am
Sometimes sub makes me sleepy during the day. But I cannot sleep at a decent time if my life depended on it! I wish I could have the perfect 8 hour window of 10pm-6am, but no no no for whatever reason I can't sleep until 345 am every night. I've tried herbal teas, Ambien (works half the time, but can be addictive..), Tylenol pm and have resorted to using Dextromethorphan from cough medicine (not doing ...

Post subject: Smooth muscle, esophagus spasms or gut issues
PostPosted: Wed Jul 05, 2017 5:22 pm
I get one side effect from suboxone and it's spasms in esophagus.
I've got two scopes done and each time they stretch it but it doesn't solve the issues.
Occasionally when I swallow food or water it gets stuck past throat and yo-yos for up to 40 seconds and can be rather painful.
If my dose gets increased the spasms get worse.
Opiates do highly effective smooth muscles or digestive tract and problems like gerd, acid ...

PostPosted: Thu Jun 15, 2017 9:14 pm
Hello...
I had a bad back years ago and the Dr. gave me Vicodin. I realized it did not help much with the pain but I felt happy! I had energy and so it began.
I could not seem to stop the Vicodin and heard Suboxone was also helpful for depression so I tried it. I was all buzzed out the first few weeks and then it just stopped having any effect other then when ...

Post subject: Does or has Suboxone Hyperalgesia been reported
PostPosted: Wed Jun 07, 2017 12:13 am
In case the reader doesn't know, opiate Hyperalgesia,is when opiates in a way turn against the person using them.
This could be defined as the body at a molecular level reacting to opiates differently than the past. The symptoms vary but to make it simple, opiates don't work or side effects outweigh the benefits.

Since Suboxone has been around for awhile if Hyperalgesia can happen it may be starting to show up with longer term patients.
This may ...

Post subject: buprenorphine in a clinical trial
PostPosted: Tue May 30, 2017 4:39 am
Hi. Bit of a random one, but basically I am considering signing up for a clinical trial that involves being dosed with buprenorphine and narolex. The trial involves receiving 100mg of narolex the day before dosing, which is an IV dose of buprenorphine, and then 50 mg of narolex for the best 3 days. I don't actually know the exact dose of buprenorphine atm (I will find out soon) so I guess this could make ...
