PostPosted: Sat Jul 15, 2017 5:55 pm
Hi there,
I'm scheduled for breast augmentation on Thursday 7/20/17. I've been on Suboxone for about 10 years. Currently on a super low dose of less than .25mg a day. I have 2mg strips I cut up super small to where they are in 1/8mg pieces. I take one in the morning, and 1-2 at bedtime. I have tapered from 2mg to less than .25mg in about 6 months time. Recently more aggressively because I ...

My oral surgeon wants to prescribe me percs 5s and I was wondering how would that even work? Has anyone else had surgery and not taken the percs and been fine? Hi there, I am on 24mg a day of sublingual suboxone with naloxone (12-3mg). I am having major back surgery in 4 days. My Dr. told me to taper like so, 18mg 4 days before, 12mg 3 days before, 12mg 2 days before and 6mg 1 day before surgery and nothing day of. From what I have read this seems like it will not work well for pain management post surgery unless major amounts of ...

Post subject: Upcoming oral surgery, looking for advice
PostPosted: Tue Jan 31, 2017 7:46 pm
I have read some others experiences in here and they have been very helpful, just wanting to get some personalized advice. I am about to have major dental surgery, extracting all of my remaining top teeth and one bottom tooth for a total of 14 teeth. I will be sedated in the office for the surgery itself and will have a immediate upper denture put in place before I leave. Some of the extraction will ...

Post subject: High Opiate Tolerance After Stopping?
PostPosted: Mon Jan 23, 2017 12:31 pm
I have not visited this site in forever and it's good to be back. Still on low dose (1/3 of 8 mg. strip daily) maintenance. Possible surgery on horizon and have been reading some of these posts. Although I usually consider myself a know it all (lol) I am not clear on why we have a higher tolerance to opiates for a considerable timer after weaning. If anyone can please help me with this, I ...

PostPosted: Sat Dec 31, 2016 8:13 pm
Hi gang! So I just discovered that I need my wisdom teeth out. I'm not so much worried about the pain after as I am being knocked out. We'll it work or will soboxone block it? I'm also worried about the horror stories I hear about people being paralyzed and can't move during surgery but can hear and feel everything. Does anyone have any wisdom about my wisdom teeth? Lol I know, I'm a dork ...

PostPosted: Fri Dec 23, 2016 12:00 pm
Hello all, first post here. Let me begin by saying that I fully intend to spend hours of my time looking through these boards. I am thrilled something like this exists. I think my wife is on here somewhere too, not for her abuse-she's clean-but for mine.
At first I was hesitant to post a question that's already been asked and answered, but I seem to be having trouble with the search function. When I ...

I am having a complete hysterectomy tomorrow. The Drs will also be taking out several large masses attached to my ovaries and uterus to check for cancer. I have been on suboxine for over 5 years on and off. Originally given to me for opiate addiction and continued use for serotonin for depression. I have weened myself down to less than 2mg daily for over a year now. My pain doc wanted me to switch ...
