Post subject: Advice on oral surgery please
PostPosted: Sat Dec 31, 2016 8:13 pm
Hi gang! So I just discovered that I need my wisdom teeth out. I'm not so much worried about the pain after as I am being knocked out. We'll it work or will soboxone block it? I'm also worried about the horror stories I hear about people being paralyzed and can't move during surgery but can hear and feel everything. Does anyone have any wisdom about my wisdom teeth? Lol I know, I'm a dork ...

PostPosted: Fri Dec 23, 2016 12:00 pm
Hello all, first post here. Let me begin by saying that I fully intend to spend hours of my time looking through these boards. I am thrilled something like this exists. I think my wife is on here somewhere too, not for her abuse-she's clean-but for mine.
At first I was hesitant to post a question that's already been asked and answered, but I seem to be having trouble with the search function. When I ...

PostPosted: Mon Oct 31, 2016 9:45 am
I am having a complete hysterectomy tomorrow. The Drs will also be taking out several large masses attached to my ovaries and uterus to check for cancer. I have been on suboxine for over 5 years on and off. Originally given to me for opiate addiction and continued use for serotonin for depression. I have weened myself down to less than 2mg daily for over a year now. My pain doc wanted me to switch ...

Post subject: My subtalar ankle fusion on suboxone
PostPosted: Wed Oct 12, 2016 11:47 am
So I have been on 1 strip of suboxone for two years and long story short this past August I had a subtalar joint fusion on my ankle. I told my sub doc and so the plan was to take three strips a day starting the day of/after surgery. Well I didn't have any problems and it worked. I took Tylenol also and a half strip every 3 to 4 hours and I only did ...

 Post subject: Gallbladder surgery problem
PostPosted: Fri Oct 07, 2016 9:46 pm
I was scheduled for gallbladder surgery this past Thursday. My surgeon was fully aware that I took suboxone, but felt because I had successful knee surgery in the past it wouldn't be a problem. I was just about to go into the OR when the anesthesia Dr called it off. He said it was to risky to go forward while I had suboxone in my system. I was rescheduled and instructed to stop taking The ...

Post subject: RE-introducing Suboxone after surgery without withdrawals
PostPosted: Mon Sep 26, 2016 5:24 am
I just had knee surgery one week ago. My long time suboxone Dr. has sent me one box of the strongest
Subox in order to get off pain meds. The problem is I don't believe I will have withdrawal effects in stopping the 10/325 OxyContin I've been taking. Eight years ago I successfully went thru mild withdrawal from my Oxy addiction and have been on the lowest dose of Subox for the last 3 years. ...
