I've written this before, but it is worth repeating because the information will improve the experience of people using the forum.

There are several ways to search SuboxForum. The Forum archives contain a wealth of information, including questions and answers about hundreds, maybe thousands of topics over the years, and the key to finding information is to use the right tool.

The 'Search' button in the menu at the top of the page will allow ...

 Post subject: Mobile Site? POLL
PostPosted: Sun Feb 19, 2017 7:11 pm
Gosh, what a day... I changed a tiny bit of code on the mobile site, and the mobile site went down-- and worse, when people tried to access it, that messed up their ability to get the desktop site.

So I have the mobile site turned off right now. I'm trying to decide-- does everyone use the mobile site? Please answer the poll to give me a sense of how important that site is.

It ...

 Post subject: Site Work
PostPosted: Sat Feb 18, 2017 1:00 am
I will be working on the backbone of the forum this weekend-- started about an hour ago, and will be doing a couple more things tomorrow. There has been a drop in performance the past couple months, related in part to the size of the database after ten years.... and also because the site isn't being directed through a cloud service that was supposed to be speeding things up. When the internet settings are changed ...

PostPosted: Wed Oct 19, 2016 9:44 pm
Docs tend to think of Tramadol as less of a problem than other opioids. Today the Wall Street Journal carried a very interesting story of how Tramadol has become a huge problem for the rest of the world. You can find it here-- check it out:

PostPosted: Wed Aug 10, 2016 9:09 pm
Goodness... it always surprises when things suddenly fail and bring the site down. Crashes are rarely caused by something that I did, or someone else did--- but instead they just happen without any explanation. Today, at least according to the company where I have a VPS hosting account, the DNS settings-- the set of numbers that direct traffic to every site on the internet--- started directing traffic to the wrong place. I haven't touched the ...

Post subject: Congress Raised the Cap?
PostPosted: Wed Jul 20, 2016 8:23 pm
Congress submitted a Bill to Obama that 'might' allow nurse practitioners to prescribe buprenorphine, and 'might' raise the cap. I won't repeat everything-- but see my post:

And then someone tell me what the heck the Bill says!!

Noticed this story:

Funny how the film was promoted as a huge advantage of pills because of reduced diversion potential, and now we've come full circle...

I'm waiting to see if the fear of diversion results in adoption of Probuphine, at a cost of 5 grand per dose. Probuphine is an implant that lasts 6 months-- a length of action that will appeal to patients, but will turn off prescribers. Indivior, the manufacturer of ...
