Post subject: First day back on subutex
PostPosted: Fri Mar 17, 2017 7:41 pm
Hello everyone, today is my first day back on subs after a 4 month dope binge. My usual dose is very small, like 0.5-1mg a day. I've taken at least 3mg so far and am still feeling pretty achy, but mentally I feel a lot better. It's been over 24 hours now and I took a tiny piece of sub at around 20 hours because I was definitely over 26 on the COWS scale. It ...

Hey all. I have been on Suboxone for 6 years!!! I know, I know my doctor is nuts right?  Post subject: From tar to subutex for 2 week detox.
PostPosted: Thu Feb 16, 2017 9:17 am
Hello everyone, I'm trying to quit heroin with the help of subs. I'll give a little background info on me. I'm 24, been using opioids for 3 years daily, was on subs for 1 year prior to relapsing on dope for 2 months, and I'm truly ready to get clean. I have a lot of kratom and plan on using kratom/cannabis for the next few months and cannabis for the rest of my life. When ...

Post subject: Lookie What I Found!! (Methadone Induction)
PostPosted: Sat Feb 11, 2017 10:56 pm
Hey gang! As part of my schooling I'm reading through a lot of ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) material. I found a paragraph that may be of interest to those who are switching from methadone to buprenorphine products.

The buprenorphine monoproduct and Suboxone film
are the only medications approved by the US FDA for
induction. However, other forms of the combination product
have been used by clinicians in patients addicted to short-acting
opioids ...

PostPosted: Thu Feb 09, 2017 8:30 pm
I just joined the forum. May I ask a question and if it has been asked please be patient with me.
I started induction today by taking 2 mg. every house. After 3 I still did not feel correct.
I went and got H and used. I felt nothing at all. I later went to a meeting where I shared my shame and disgust and go a lot of support.
My question is, tomorrow, do ...

PostPosted: Thu Feb 09, 2017 1:32 pm
I am starting today on suboxone. I was on Oxy and opana for many years post 14 surgeries including 2 hip replacements and re-do's after a recall. I finally went to rehab and got on methadone. I am really tired of the clinic I feel like they only care about the cash. My family Doc in Virginia Dr Ash Diwan is putting me on the subs. I went down from 75mg to 30mg of md ...

Post subject: Who has their buprenorphine covered by insurance?
PostPosted: Mon Jan 30, 2017 9:53 pm
I live in California. Tried applying for medi-cal, but got denied. Looking to pay out of pocket for health insurance that covers a buprenorphine medication. Dont care what form or brand. Zubsolv tablets or Suboxone brand strips, it doesn't matter to me.

Looking at health insurance formularies isn't necessarily the answer, and would take forever. I have had insurance cover a medication that I could not find on their formulary. Medical billing is often complicated ...
