I have had the same doctor for 5 years. He moved once from Vicksburg to Grand Haven, I tried to find another doctor at that time and had a difficult time doing so. So, despite the 6 hour drive each way I followed my doctor to Grand Haven. It has been one year and I got a letter stating that he has resigned and I need to find another doctor. I have enough Subutex to last for two months. I don't know whether to wait to see if he has a new office in two months or begin the painful procedure of finding a new doctor. I go to college full time and work. I am so discouraged. I live in lower Michigan, any suggestions?

Im sorry to hear about your dr. resigning,
that really sucks................................

I dont think I would "wait" though, cuz if you use up those two months of meds you HAVE, waiting, and he DOESNT open a new practice, then what?
at least if you PLAN that he wont, then if he DOES you havent "lost out" on any time.................

so there are a couple way to go about this...........
the one that seems to be the best, is this link here, thru suboxone dot com, that lets you put in how many miles from your zip, your willing to travel.
it lists the address and phone numbers, so i'd just "go down the list"
also, you may want to ask if there is a time limit, with how long each dr. will "see" patients, and whether or not they'll do maintenance, , , as that is for sure an important question.
but at FIRST, if there IS an opening for somewhere that lets say, the dr. will only see you Six months,
GO AHEAD and take it, cuz that's SIX MONTHS anyways!!!!!!
so, here that one, i just talked about......... ... octor.aspx

this one, is thru the naabt, and you set up a "Profile" and answer some questions, the dr.(s) then contact YOU

Lastly, there is a link at the top of the "main" suboxtalkzone page, "find a suboxone dr"
you can try that one, too.

GOOD LUCK in your search............Yes, it will probably be challenging, but I think you already know, that it's also
VERY worth the time/effort................................................

If you have any questions, or get thru all that, and still need help, just SAY SO,,,,
and I'll help the best i can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry it's taken soooooo long to get back to ya, here.
again, GOOD LUCK

anyone can give up,
its the easiest thing in the world to do, but to
hold it together, when everyone would understand if you fell apart
