Hello all.

I am currently looking for a doctor who can prescribe me suboxone or similar. I have a full time job, pay bills, and am a productive member of society. I am reaching out because I am tired of the struggles and legal issues that come with trying to get the medicine I need on the streets.

I have severe hip/back/knee pain. My job requires me to be pain free to be productive. I guess you could say I am an addict because without the medicine I am very down, depressed and can not function properly; However, I do not take high amounts or abuse the drug. Normally, one 8mg pill will last me a week. So roughly, I take about 1mg a day. I used to take Oxycodone for pain but could not stand the withdraws when I was with out and the agonizing pain that would come when I could not dose. I found suboxone around a year ago and fell in love with this miracle medicine. Before I would take upwards of 100mg of Oxys jus to be able to work and withstand my pain, but with suboxone just a measly 1mg will greatly reduce my pain and depression associated with the pain.

I am not asking for a boatload of the medicine. I could get by with just 5 pills a month. I need the medicine and would feel so much better about myself if it was prescribed to me by a practicing doctor.

If you take the time to read this and provide me with any helpful information it is much appreciated and I hope you all have a wonderful day.

here's some links, for suboxone doctors.

the first one, you type in how many miles away your willing to travel and your zip code.
https://www.suboxone.com/patients/opioi ... octor.aspx

this one you make a "profile" and the doctor, will contact you.
so you may want to write up, what you just did here.

I think finding a DOCTOR, would be in your best interest as well.............then you wouldn't have to stress, or worry about running out.......
and I know it's a lot of $$$ Up FRONT....
but think about THIS for just a moment....................

If you paid the 'induction' fees and just went to the doctor ONCE<
and got lets say written for "16mg a day"
HOW LONG would that last???????

QUITE A WHILE,,,, right?
you could event take more than 1mg, if/when you had more pain.
so, that's just ONE IDEA
I wanted to share with you.
GOOD LUCK
in whatever you decide to do

What part of Ohio, if its cincinnati I use Dr Soria, thru crossroads. Even though I am off subs now I still see him for my anti depressants. 513 475 5300 is the number and let them know your wanting to contact dr soria about suboxone and they will give you his voice mail, he always calls back late in the afternoon.

thank you guys for all the information and responses. I am most worried about coming off as an addict. If I was to call this doctor what should I say? I mean, wouldn't it seem weird just to straight up ask him for suboxone? I have never done this before and my supplier will no longer be providing me.

No, it would not be wierd to straight up ask him for suboxone.

Suboxone is a TREATMENT for opiate addiction. You want them to know you are an addict. You are an addict! You just call and tell them you are interested in suboxone treatment. Tell them you have chronic pain and have abused opiates. You can tell them that you have even bought suboxone from the streets to control your pain and addiction. Or say you have tried some of "a friends" suboxone. Whatevet you are comfortable with. I think being honest is best.

This forum is great place to get help finding a doctor or for any questions you have about recovery. So feel free to post any more questions or concerns. But, in my opinion, you need to call a DOCTOR.

Good luck!

I used the first website you listed to find the closest doctor to my area. I called their office and they told me they have a waiting list and cannot add anyone else to their waiting list at the moment.. This is going to be harder than I thought.

I know, it IS difficult.......

but You also have to think,,,,,,, if you were completely OUT,
how far would you drive to meet someone, to buy some???????

maybe that's about how far your "search" area should be.

If I didnt get into the dr. i have now, I was gonna be driving 2 hr 15min EACH way, with no traffic.

I was pretty freakin desperate, though.
I live in a rural county,,, the "city" is two hours away. LOL

Keep Trying,
it'll be worth it, in the end

there's also a link at the top of this page
