If you are taking Suboxone not because you were addicted to pain pills, but because your doctor wanted you off of the pain pills, and wanted you to try Suboxone to control your pain, I'd love to hear your story, if you feel like sharing.

I'm 43 now, and had been taking large doses of hydrocodone and morphine for the past 3-4 years for degenerative disc disease, for a 4" cyst compressing my spinal cord severely in my thoracic region, and for Hoffmann's disease in my neck region. I landede myself in a psych ward for suicidal ideation, because the pain was a monster that kept telling me to kill myself, that is the only way out of the pain.... those wonderful doctors told me about Suboxone. So I found a NEW pain mgmt doctor (since my old one gave me all that dope and never once mentioned SUboxone!) and I tried it. It has been a miracle for me, as far as controlling the pain!! I am now 99% of the time totally pain free!

But for some reason, the Sub does not help a toothache, hahahaha, or other aches and pains I have. I don't know why this is--- but as far as my back goes, it is a miracle! There is no doubt that my body was addicted to the hydro and morphine however. The morphine is what made me want to end my life..... But I was not considered an addict--I waw not going out and finding ways to make the money it would take and then to find the pills. I had legal prescriptions and never went doctor shopiping. After so many years of pain management, my tolerance built up, and so did my prescribed meds. If anyone else can relate, I sure would like to hear your story.

I'm also curious to know if anyone is tired of taking Suboxone, like I am, and if you stopped taking it and went back to your old pain pills--- did they help? Or was it a viscious cycle all over again? Thanks so much. ~Molly
