I did a 30 day taper off of Subs and have horrific depression and insomnia.
Is this normal? I am off for 13 days. Thx R

Depression and Insomnia are very normal when quitting any opiate, Suboxone is no different.

Many people start taking an Anti-Depressant before they jump and during their wd to minimize the depression.

The insomnia is a bit trickier, the only thing that even came close to helping me was Ambien. But I would wake an hour or so after taking it and I would spend the next few hours in the Twilight Zone. I got in my car and drove around one night after waking up, barely remember where I went?? I quit the Ambien after that happened and just suffered through the insomnia.

You're welcome Robbie!!

How are you doing today?? Has the depression improved at all?? Would you consider giving Wellbutrin a try, it's an AD that works PDQ (pretty dang quick).

I see it's the middle of night and you're signed on, so I'm gonna guess the insomnia is still kickin' your arse?? Ummm, this is gonna sound kinda weird, but.......sex is a great stress reliever and it helps to relax you and makes sleep easier. Ro Ro recommends lots of sex for your insomnia problems......if you don't get to sleep afterwards......at least you got to have sex!!

Hang tight Robbie, it's gonna get better, it just takes a while. In the meantime, we're here for ya!!
