Going on a month now after years of 90mg day methadone.

It's not well, sorry for the images and words, but not really diarrhea but not normal. Enough to make me have to go a little 3-4 times per day. I've tried immodium and anti-diarrheals and nothings helping. It sucks and not getting better. Not to mention I don't sleep more than 4-5 hours a day even though they now gave me some Ambien. Ambien helps me get to sleep, but not stay asleep for what I need.

Anyway, this stomach issue is the one that bugs me most. I'll be on Suboxe, probably another 2 months. Anyone have any advice?

I figure all those years of constipation from the Methadone and other opiates has got my body backwards but it's been over a month now off of Methadone and Norcos. I'm taking just 1/4 or 2mg of Suboxone per day yet it's still bad. As with joint pain, swollen ankles (freaked me out when I noticed 2 days ago but now see that's common somewhat) sleeplesness, shakeyness/anxiety etc.

All side effects are getting better but the stomach and to some degree, the insomnia.

Thanks for any remarks.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I read in one of your other posts that you don't have an addiction issue, just dependency. Am I remembering correctly? What struck me about the symptoms you describe is that they sound suspiciously like withdrawals. I'm curious, what do your pupils look like? It sounds like you're using sub just as a detox tool, but I'm wondering if maybe you tapered down a bit too quickly and are having some withdrawals in the process. Obviously I could be way off, but it's something that occurred to me from reading the little information that's in your posts. Oh, and for your sleep issues, what about asking your doc for the extended release Ambien? If it's working to put you to sleep, then the XR might work well for you to keep you asleep. It might be worth a shot - just a thought. Like I said, I could be way off, especially if you have more info to add. I do hope you feel better soon.
