I have been taking sub for a year now to treat opioid depenency and it has helped me tremendously. Since i dont know anyone else that take it i thought id come here to talk with others about their experiences with suboxone. I am embarassed to tell anyone i take it in the fear of being judged so i feel more comfortable talking here than anywhere else.

Welcome KevNJ90. I've been on Suboxone for about 7 months. It truly saved my life. I only know 1 person around here that takes Suboxone. That is why I love being part of this forum so much. So many different people from different back grounds in different stages of their recovery. You can talk about just about anything here. Can tell the truth without being judged. It's nice. Welcome.

Welcome KevNJ!

U definitely came to the greatest place ever for positive support :)

Read around the forum and u can get a lot of information. I've learned so much here. Suboxone changed my life. Just waking up in the morning without facing withdrawal or chasing pills....it's a major blessing. I never thought I'd ever be able to live a better life. I went to several detox, rehab, jail, cold turkey, NA....u name it and I probably tried it. The longest I stayed away from opiates during those days was around 6 months before I'd relapse. Suboxone was my last attempt at trying to kick opiates and it worked. It not only worked, but it gave me my life bk. I hope it's helped u in a positive way also.

There is judgement out there involving ppl thinking suboxone is just another drug. I struggled with those judgements at first but now I've learned to somewhat let ppl talk, I mean imo they'll always find something they know nothing about to talk negatively. If those ppl could see my quality of life before Suboxone and see what it's like now, they may not be so quick to judge.

Glad u found us KevNJ! Look around all the sections here, you'll learn a lot. Also check out Dr. Junig's Talkzone, he's the founder of this forum and a very good suboxone doctor.

Hi KevNj90

I am Queenie. I am the grandmother of the forum. I have been on Suboxone now for almost 5 years. Plese feel free to read my story. I will be 74 yrs. old next week. Double amputations and lots of bypass surgeries to try to save my legs led to addiction, although I had earlier problems with pills, cigarettes and alcohol because of a sad divorce and the death of my parents 3 months apart from each other.

I hope Suboxone continues to help you. This is the perfect place to be. You can talk about subs and ask any questions you want. We are all here to talk & help if we can. So, WELCOME!!!!

Take care, don't give in and don't give up.

Love, Queenie
