You didn't have these symptoms the past week, since starting?

What you're describing could be too much bupe in the system, even though you only took 8 mgs, it's still pretty stacked in your system from the 24mgs this past week. But it's surprising that you're just now feeling it, if that were the case.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say you could also be experiencing severe pregnancy sickness. I won't call it morning sickness, because we all know it's not limited to mornings.. Anyway, 11 weeks is right in that window when it can hit hardest. What do you think?

Have you taken ANY other medication along with the subs?

Sorry for all the replies. I also have Hep C. I did although go on the treatment and have been undetected. Could that have anything to do with it?? I know sub breaks down through liver.

Every pregnancy is different, but you probably would have been experiencing 'morning sickness' prior to now if it was that.

I don't think it will hurt to hold off on taking sub. You may want to clear your system out a bit and start fresh with a bit lower of a dose. The thing with suboxone/subutex is you can always add more, if you need it, to find that right dose. But once you over do it, it's hard to go back. You just have to wait it out. You'll know if you need to dose, you'll start to feel withdrawal like symptoms. As long as you are not feeling dope sick in any way, you should be fine to hold off on dosing. You have a ton of the sub in your system so I doubt you'll notice skipping a dose or two until your symptoms wear off a bit.

I don't think it has anything to do with hep C. Both methadone & sub is metabolized through the liver. If mdone & oxy weren't give you severe trouble, I doubt the bupe would.

Hang in there and let us know how you're feeling.

omg sorry again!

I cant think of everything at once.

OK, TMI, but could it be gas? I mean people get gassy in their tummys and it could be painful, right? I dont know why I would have it, but I could from being preggo, right? I havent eaten anything for it to be gas. :( :( :(

Does it really feel like a knife? I just assumed you might be exaggerating but if your stomach is bothering you this much, you may need to get checked out. Pregnancy is definitely conducive to bouts of gas pain.. definitely! But it's more of a tender feeling in the belly. It could be different for you though. Here are my thoughts on what it could be:

1) A cycst rupturing
2) Gas or severe constipation
3) leftover symptoms from switching from mdone to sub.

The transition is never an easy one, I'm so sorry you're having to do this while trying to eliminate preg symptoms. How long has your tummy felt like this for?

Also, can you tell me if what you're feeling is like a sharp pain.. or is it like severe period cramps? Does it feel like it's in your lower abdomen?

Ok, it's probably constipation and gas. Especially since you described it as being at the top of your tummy and not in your lower abdomen. That's good.

Can you get a mild stool softener? It can't hurt to try, especially if you haven't gone in a while. Pregnancy is also known to worsen constipation, although it's been the opposite for me lately. Make sure to drink lots of water right now too!

Some prescription prenatals come with a stool softener in them, btw..

Another thing to keep in mind if it doesn't go away with home remedies but it could be an Ulcer or something to do with your gallbladder, just based on how you're describing it and where the pain is located. Hopefully it goes away but don't ignore if it persists.

Hey, I'm heading out now to go to dinner. Just wanted to let you know.

My non-expert advice is that you've got a multitude of things going on right now. Switching medications, Pregnancy symptoms, stress, etc.. I think it's like the perfect storm for you right now, unfortunately. Just try and relax a bit, cut back on the sub dose, it won't kill you, just till you start to figure out what symptom is what. And be sure to drink a lot of water, that's important, especially if you're not eating. I'm hoping you feel better after being able to go to the bathroom. Also hoping you settle down a bit once you get used to this new medication. It really will be better for you than methadone & oxy, 100%. So feel confident that all of this is worth it, it just sucks right now.

I'll check in later to see how you're doing.

Don't muck around. Could be any number of things related to abdo
Appendicitis, ulcer etc. Just go to emergency. Especially if you are pregnant! ectopic preg etc. Are you preg? I read thru posts quickly and saw something re this but unsure.
Don't assume its the Sub
Doesn't sound like it. Don't leave these things too long. Even if feeling a little better. It is not normal.
Always better safe than sorry. Any of these conditions can easily be life threatening.
Sorry for the alarm.
Ive worked as a medical professional in hospitals for years.
