Me thinks you kinda missed my point, but then again, I figured you would.

BTW, I may not be on Suboxone at this time, but that doesn't mean I won't need it again tomorrow, I am an addict after all. Always will be.

Bupe an lizz, just today, over on the diversion section of the Addiction Remission app, an company report on BioDelivery s Bema system was released.
The FDA has the second, of phase 3 in there hands. 2015 looks like for aprovel.
There looking at a large market share next year. A pro uct that sticks to the inside wall ofvthe mouth.
Much less side effect and more than 50% more absorbtion. Studies have shown..

I for one, do not believe that Buprenorphine will ever be taken away as a treatment, not with the pandemic
this country an world faces with opiatecaddtion. Not with more treatments being developed today..

check it out...razor...

As sick as we all are, how andcwhy would they take this medication away....peace...

thanks a bunch razor! :-) ! I haven't been too worried about bupe being taken away or rescheduled anytime soon, that is, since Dr. J answered my question about it a while back, it set my mind at east a bit...... but then I get to reading about all these different states making this lifesaving medication harder and harder to obtain, and creating more and more hoops for addicts to jump through to get it, serving arbitrary time limits on treatment, and even criminalizing taking it during pregnancy in some states, tn, for example. I can't help but worry a little what my state,Va. Will do next. I'm definitely glad it looks like the form of bupe that sticks to inside of cheek will be approved, it sounds pretty convenient and great! wonder how the cost will be?

In Australia we have a really good medical system - compared to what I see on the new about America - for example we can all go to free doctors if you can find a doctor who will "bulk bill" which means they send the cost for your appointment straight to our medical system called Medicare which everyone has and babies are put on their parents Medicare cards when they are born - you get your own Medicare card when your 21 or 24 - its a bit random.
So doctors are free! You can also get specialist appointments for reduced costs if you are on any kind of government benefit (which I am as I am a carer for my husband) - so my addiction specialist costs $180 and I get a rebate of $150 - so only pay the gap.
Also if you have a government benefit you get various allocated scripts all for a flat rate of $6 - which is what my sub is for a month - $6 for a month plus a $28 dispensing fee for the chemist that I bother everyday to get my sub. HOWEVER - once I have been on sub for a month or so and my doc is happy with the fact that im not using or abusing I get to have weekly take homes - so that will be in a few weeks for me. Another HOWEVER is that our government has just changed and they want to make all doctor appointments $7 for people who bulk bill or who are on government benefit.
We have the suboxone that melts under your tongue - the strip. Sounds kinda like the one in your cheek??
You guys sound like you really know your stuff - must have been on this site for a long time - I just started watching the bupetubes last night. So interesting.
Australia is cracking down on benzodiazapines - for example Xanax is now like a class a drug and they cant give it out to just anyone. Even valium a doctor needs to know you for a long time and have contact with your psychologist (which is also free in oz if you have a "medical mental health care plan").
I am totally happy to go there everyday for now to pick it up - it also gives me time to ask the chemist questions about what is happening to my body during this transition - I thought I would hate it as I have done pick up before (when reducing on a benzodiazapam regime) and they treated me like a shit junkie. Doctors are aware of this and generally know who are the good pharmicists to go to - I have a great one, happy to spend time with me and answer all questions and treats me like a person!
I hope it all goes well in USA - all depends on governments; the population that they want to please, media mania coverage and lots of other variables I guess.

I didn't miss your point at all, you most likely got offended because you have sold your buprenorphine in the past or possibly other painkillers and you made some snippy sarcastic comment to me for saying the word idiot. Being an addict doesn't excuse all behaviors so saying oh but they're sick is no justification for the people who are going to ruin it for everyone. Diversion is pretty much the only reason opiates are held under a lock and key by a freaking gatekeeper, I don't know about you but I could care less about using kid gloves when talking about the few that ruin it for the many. I'm done arguing as its a broken record and you are one of the forum know it alls so it does no good for me to keep going on about it. Get my point or nah maybe you missed it, "I figured you would"
