Does anyone know How to just get Perscription help. I contacted Patient assistance program, as my Dr. was very quick to help me get on the program as he did NOT have any patients on the program.Well they said (PAP) said that the patient could NOT have any insurance at all.
I have medical ins. and that helps me with the visits ($15.00 co-pay) but insurance does NOT cover perscriptions, and as we all know that is what cost so damn MUCH esp. with just being inducted, as my dosages seem to be getting higher (only started with 2 mgs x day)
Any suggestions or places to help with the perscriptions, would be of such help. I don't want to cancel my medical insurance if i don't have to. Because i have other medical problems (DEAF, and I also have PORPHYRIA) and ay need it in the future.
Thanks for all the help

Yes, its unfortunate that your medical insurance won't cover suboxone, yet it precludes you from getting into the patient assistance program. I am aware of different prescription savings cards cards or programs that help with prescription costs. You should get a lot of different information just by doing a Google search for "prescription savings" or something like that. I think the major pharmacies like Walgreens also have prescription savings programs.

I'm sorry you're having such difficulty, I know suboxone/subutex can be very expensive when insurance doesn't cover it. Just try to remember how much it cost to be in active addiction! Good luck and let us know how you make out.
