I am sitting here reading dozens of posts this morning. All over the place, in every thread. I still and I think always will, feel comfort reading about others on this forum. I feel like I am not alone, and for me, that feeling of isolation can truly be a bitch as far as recovery. What I have come to understand is that I created that feeling inside my head. Everything I do, is my decision to do so. I want to be healthy and I am not sure truly where I stand on taking the sub. All I know is that taking pain pills is not an option. It feels rewarding to reduce my dose on sub., yet am I ready to do so? I continue my counseling and continue to listen and read about others, use there experience to help myself. Selfish? Yes, yet I think when you truly seek recovery you have to be selfish to some extent. I would help anybody if I felt like I could. Anyway, I am rambling. I think I will go the gym and get my mind clear.

Ramble all you want, man. That's part of why this forum is here.

In regards to your recovery, Progress, Not Perfection, bud.

Have fun hitting the weights, that's one of my favorite parts of the day.

Thanks Romes,
I do feel better after a work-out. I do believe that exercise and a decent diet can do wonders for your body and mind. Anyway, what a blessing that I get to go watch my daughter tonight, she is a senior and its her 4th year of cheerleading. Watch my daughter and football, the best of both worlds for me!!

The only opinions you are going to hear on this forum are those which support your choice to remain on sub. If you want to chat and get an opinion from a man who "sees things in a fairly objective light", you are welcome to PM me and I will endeavor to satisfy that claim and provide some interesting tangents of consciousness relating to opiates, neurosis, politics, capitalism and of course, empathy in this condition which we all suffer; the one of the human nature.

What are you talking about? If that's the case, why is "stopping suboxone" the busiest section of this forum, overloaded with helpful posts from both long and short term members, daily. We're all very supportive of anyone's decision to get off. Where do you get your info from? There are over 17,000 posts in this section alone, almost doubling any other section here.
The difference is, none of us are going to tell Justdoit what to do. Once he makes up his mind on whatever he wants, we'll support him however we can. Until then, we're just here to listen. I'm not going to pretend I know what's best for him and neither should you.

Justdoit- Hope your gym sesh is inspiring.
