Well, yesterday was my last dose of suboxone. Gave my remaining films to my doc today, so I'm all out, and no turning back now. So far, on day 1 without sub...my body is exhausted. I feel like I weigh a thousand pounds (which I don't I'm the skinniest I've been in 10 years)..I can't eat, I have bad back ache and sore muscles. Diarrhea, nausea, lower pelvic pain. It sucks. I'm praying this doesn't last long as I was only on it for 6 months, my highest dose was 4mg, and I tapered to 0.063mg. So.....who knows. I'm done though I do know that. Will keep you all posted. What should I expect in the coming days/weeks?

I would try not to expect anything and keep really busy for the next week! It's so common at this point to overthink how you're feeling. Do you have any children you could over-schedule? That might help! :)

I hope this little tid bit helps you .
Fathers day , I decided I wasn't going to take my dose , hoping I would be able to skip days . Sleep had come back to me after 6 weeks on .063 . To make a long story short , 10 days later I still haven't dosed . The first three days were pretty good , then that 4th day kicked in and I felt like I weighed a ton , day 5 wasn't much better , day 6 and 7 were worse , day 8 was bad too. Mornings were good for me , then by lunch after eating it would kick in for about 6 or 7 hours . then came day 9 , big big difference and and today is day 10 , which by the way blows day 9 by a mile .
Sorry this in in short form , but wanted to get to the point .
I have noticed a trend , for the most part (everyone has a different experience) , in saying that most of the long term sub users who have quit had a mind set that when they are done , its done . I will not place myself in that group yet till I have reached the 6 month mark or better yet a year .
I don't know you , but I am here to tell you , you are not alone , and YOU can do this .

I came back to edit a few things to be clear , day 9 was much better than the previous 8 and day 10 so far is awesome in comparison .

I do have a daughter that keeps me busy and a dog! Also, what is the worst now is the anxiety and the feeling freezing cold all the time! How long does the cold feeling last??? It is really annoying! I did sleep last night though.

I never had that , I had the burning up hot flashes. But most of mine came during my taper .
Sorry I figured out after reading again , your question probably wasn't for me .

Maya

You are doing great. New life said day 9 was a turning point and a good day as was day 10. I can't imagine you will feel badly much longer.

I heard exercise helps so how about taking your daughter and dog for a walk?

Maya,

You've come this far, stick with it or the bad days will have been in vain. Considering you jumped at such a low dose it should not be that bad or last too long. Most of our withdrawal agony lies within our minds. We make it out to be much more than it is.

Don't focus on how you feel. Keep the distractions coming and the exercise going as much as you can. Exercise kicks in your natural endorphins which have been compromised by taking other opiates. Mother nature will take care of your brain in due time. You were only on Sub for 6 months but how long did you take pain meds? You are w/d'ing from it all so be patient.

My hat comes off to you for being able to taper and stop. Keep up the good work!
