Hi everyone,
It is a pleasure to find another site dedicated to recovery and discussion of suboxone treatment. My short story is I am 55, started abusing most anything at a very young age, got in 12 step recovery in 1989, developed chronic severe pain in 2005, started taking vicoden, a few months in started abusing vicoden, had a failed back surgery, have continued to seek pain management while abusing, to some degree, everything prescribed to me and am now this week actually, have begun suboxone treatment which is working wonderfully on my 6th day now. I am grateful to still be alive, to have hope again and to find another caring bunch of people.

:D Even through the roughest spots there have been blessings in my life.
Chip

Welcome cc! Thanks for sharing your story with us. I'm glad to hear your sub treatment is off to a good start. I've been on sub for coming up on two years and will be on it for a really long time if not forever.

It's good to have another new member here. I hope you stick around and keep posting. Again, welcome.

Glad to hear from you Chip,

It's so nice to hear someone who has gotten onto suboxone and it's working great for them. I know it saved me from countless more years of misery because I had not a chance in hell of detoxing off the full agonists.

Again, nice to hear a positive story. I hope you stay with us and are able to help some others here. I'm going to say that with your life experiences, you won't have any trouble with it.

Hi CC,

Welcome. So glad you found us and so super glad Suboxone is working for you.

I am Queenie, nice to meet you and hope you stay.

I too got addicted to pain meds due to many surgeries and an amputation of the left leg. I am a 68 year old grandmother which goes to show you that there all different ages in this addictioon.

Please continue to let us know how it's going for you.

Love & hope Queenie
