Hi, I've been on Suboxone for about 1o years. I Began using this drug after becoming addicted to pain meds after a back injury. My doc is certified to prescribe. I'm just writing to ensure the feds have approved Suboxone for pain management. The insurance company sent a letter to my doctor to justify my Suboxone use. Thanks In Advance

Salty, as far as I know the insurance company won't pay unless it says "for opiate addiction, in remission", or something like that. Suboxone has not been approved for pain use so there is probably no code number for it. If you are on a low dose, there is a pain patch with Buprenorphine in it called the Butrans Patch and that is indicated for pain.

Maybe I'm wrong and it will get approved. Let us know.
