I'm not using subutex as maintenance but as a detox. I'm now down to 1.0 mg/day. It doesn't really mater to me how I take it for the short period I am going to take it. The issue is that I have the 8mg Subutex pills so cutting them into accurate 1/8 pieces is just about impossible and if I chop it into a fine powder with a razor I can measure accurately. It would be even harder when/if I go to 0.5mg/day. Intra-nasal has about the same absorption as under the tongue - they are both about equivalent.

Thank you for your advice though and I wish you the best.

actually OTMA the bio-availability is about double intra-nasaly....therevare more mucus membranes in you nasal cavities. I did try to warn you about that a few weeks ago, but edited my post so it didnt seem as though i was encouraging addictive-behavior. Well now you know..better late than never i guess.

I really hope your detox method works out for you...best of luck!
