Im going to keep this short ... Ive been on various opioids for a few years now...3 maybe... high doses, and Ive tried suboxone in the past with mixed results. I just really hate and suck at the first day or two. I was in moderate withdrawal last night and took around 8mg of suboxone... it helped a llittle, but i still feel like I got hit by a car today... like a full body flu, but I can tell its not as bad a full withdrawals. Ive taken more twice.. 2mg this morning and 2mg this afternoon and it hasnt really helped any so I guess this is the feeling Im stuck with. Is this normal? I know you can feel weird the first first days but I dont feel weird, I feel like poop... and how long can this last, I can already feel the need to go call my connect and frankly I dont want too. Any advice or help, words whatever would be appreciated.

Thank you... forgive my rambling.

Hi Dave,

Sorry you're not feeling well. We are not doctors here and don't know your history with opiates so it's difficult to say how much Suboxone will help you feel better. Obviously, you aren't seeing a doctor for the meds. Is it because of cost? That is mostly the only reason for not getting a legitimate script.

Give us some more details about your opiate abuse and how much Suboxone you have on hand most of the time and we'll do our best to give you some suggestions.

Let us know how you're doing, okay? Welcome to the forum!

I went from 25 ml/day of methadone to 8 mg/day of Suboxone (with 72 hours in between the switch), and I felt pretty much fine by the afternoon of the day I started Suboxone.

As mentioned, more info is needed.
