Hey all, good to see there are so many others in the same boat! I got inducted yesterday at the Dr's office after a 3 year stint with pills after a shoulder injury...started with a couple of vics and moved on up to about 150mg oxy + 40 to 40 mg hydro daily. So far the sub seems to be a lifesaver for me...no withdrawl pain and no cravings which is great. Don't have the all-consuming thoughts on how to score with no money and all that goes with it...plus try to raise a family at the same time. Anyhow, like I say I just started, took 1 x 8mg this morning and another 4 mg a couple hours later and really feel pretty good, I just hope it lasts. Things are lookin up though, thats for sure. Plus I have a great dr and good insurance so all in all feel pretty lucky to have found an answer in sub...much better than doing the oxy game...
Take care, hope everyone is doing good, I think I am !!

Hi Dadman and welcome to the forum. I think you'll find the people here very supportive and empathic. It's an important part of my recovery and I hope it can be for you too.

I'm so glad to hear that the option of suboxone was available to you and that you're pleased with it so far. It sounds like your induction went smoothly. Many of us describe feeling "normal" when starting suboxone. Again, welcome and keep us posted on how you're doing.
