Hey All.

I'm new to the forum....stumbled across it when I googled 'Spinning out on Suboxone' lol.....there's stacks to read here, and I will....I hope I don't come across as lazy. I just thought it would be easier to post about my specific concern.

So I'm on Sub for chronic pain. I got wrongfully prescribed short acting opiates as a solution, got a raging habit, was using H two or three days a week when I ran out, then did the ketamine infusion and switched onto sub. It is BRILLIANT for my pain- eradicates it almost completely for the time it works, which is 7hrs. I can set my watch by it. I researched and asked for a split dose. The Dr asked me to try going from 12 to 16 first. Better effect in the day but pain comes back after 7 hours. So I'm now about to start at 16 and 4 taken at 9am and 4:30pm. I'm using the under tongue films.

Here's the thing though: I get really different effects each day. One day I can be nicely impacted, less pain, more energy, a little high and happy. The next day I'm slightly sideways on it, then the next day it feels like a mild effect. But the days that worry me are the ones like today- it starts off ok but by about the third hour I am TRASHED on it. Really out of it, dizzy, and a little headf**ked....like.....a bit scared and freaky.

Can anyone explain this to me or tell me where to look on the forum for answers?

Thank you so much in advance for any replies and advice :)

I'm not sure I've heard of anyone having effects from Suboxone like you're experiencing. We've had many people on here who get a bit buzzed from Suboxone, many people who don't feel a thing from Suboxone, but the combination of effects you're getting seem kinda weird.

Are you dosing at the same time everyday? Do you eat or drink before dosing some days? Do you keep your medicine under your tongue the same amount of time every day? Are you on any other medications that potentiate Suboxone?

Hey Romeo. I usually have a coffee before I go for my dose, so there's a good fifteen minutes before the film hits my mouth. Exactly the same time every day, same routine. I have at least 13 other meds that I take. I'll list them just in case you know of any contraindications the dr's may have missed, but I was put onto sub in hospital with 'addictions specialists' managing the transfer, so I'd be surprised if that was it: Pregabalin; Hydrocortizone; Paracetamol; Fludrocortizone; Mirtazapine; Testosterone; Nortriptaline; Celecoxib; Esomerprazole; Thyroxine; Tramadol; Clonodine (as required); Diaz (as required, never before the morning dose).

It's weird. Today is a moderate effect. I start split dosing today. If it had been yesterday there's no way in hell I would have taken an afternoon dose, I was sideways for hours.

Any insight would be appreciated.
