Because of a flood of spam-bots, registration requires that people answer a question in order for their info to be accepted. The question: What is added to buprenorphine to create the topic of this forum?

In case anyone doesn't know, the answer is naloxone or narcan.

For now, accounts then must be activated by the administrator (me). I'll get to them as soon as I can-- within 24 hours, and hopefully much faster than that. If the spammers back off I'll go back to email activation.

In the meantime, there might be some registered spam-bots about. Amy has done a good job of cleaning them out, and I think I got the rest of them. But as with any web page, clicking on links from NEW POSTERS is not recommended. You can look at the profile of people, and anyone who has been around for more than a few months, or posted more than a few times, is unlikely to cause you trouble.

OK, I found the answer to my new post about how to become a Registered Member I think. I am new to the forum and am looking around the at the topics, etc...
I am looking for the most privacy one can get out here in the cyberspace.

If you are concerned about privacy, it is a good idea to have an email address that only you have access to, that does not contain your real identity. It is pretty easy to set one up these days at any number of free services... hotmail, yahoo, gmail, etc.

Everyone on the internet is identified by their I.P. address, and while there are ways around that, I don't think they are worth it. There are proxy servers like 'hide my ip', for example. But most slow down your internet speed. The way I see it, if you are engaging in the creepy behaviors that really call for the need to block your i.p., then do you really want to trust something that costs $29 to keep you out of prison? Much easier to just avoid threatening the president or sending out dirty pictures!

This forum, like almost every other web site, associates your username with your I.P. address. We do that so that can close the door to you in the event you violate the rules-- for example if you invade someone else's privacy, or if you are unable to play nicely. That does not happen very often.

Any newbies reading this: after you register, do some writing! We love your comments, questions, and thoughts-- so please share them with us!

Thank you doc for this reminder. I strongly concur with your statement above "If you are concerned about privacy, it is a good idea to have an email address that only you have access to, that does not contain your real identity. It is pretty easy to set one up these days at any number of free services... hotmail, yahoo, gmail, etc."
