HI everybody.. Been on 50mcg Fentanyl patches. Trying to find the right answer but can't.. So I was wondering after taking off my last fentanyl 50 mcg/hr 72 hr patch.. When is it safe to take suboxone...Thank you everyone for your input

Hey Rypeez hows it going. You should wait to take the suboxone the same way you would with any other opiate, however long it takes until you are withdrawing. Once you start withdrawing you should wait as long as you possible can and then take the appropriate dose. Usually about 12 hours after you start WD'S and you should be in the clear. Remember the advice I give you is not from a medical expert, but from the perspective of an experienced addict. You should consult with your medical provider before starting the Buprenorphine maintenance program. I wish you the best of luck and I feel that you have made a smart decision in trying suboxone to help you with your opiate addiction.
