I am sure this has been asked, if I have used subutex for a total of 3 weeks at 4mg a day, how long does it stay in my system. I got my C-Section in two weeks and I want it out for pain control reasons. I can go with out for seven days if I have to.

I really don't know the answer to your question. I would think it is in your system for about 3-4 days but it could remain there in small amounts even longer. If the issue is pain control, you will have difficulty with pain control after even 7 days because you have increased your tolerance with the sub. My guess is that you will do ok with pain control but you won't feel any high from the painkillers at all because you haven't told them that you are on suboxone. You will want back on the suboxone asap after surgery....not for the pain, but rather for the feeling. In my experience, pain killers post suboxone just make me tired and feel icky. The tylenol in them makes my stomach sick and it feels unnatural where as the sub makes me feel normal. So I can't wait for the pain to subside and then I can go back on my sub.
