I have a friend who has lost everything and everybody because of her addiction she's on methadone and now has no money no friends no transportation and no way to get to dr. She has h hepatitis C as well. She is a molest victim violent. She is in Peoria Illinois. I'm heartbroken for her. No friends this young woman is a walking example of what happens when you become addicted to drugs. She has a friend on suboxone. That is working for her friend but the cost.... Thank you for reading.. Is she hopeless

Hi Barbyl,

No, it's not hopeless but it sure doesn't sound very good. It is possible she may die unless she either hits a bottom or just gets sick and tired of being sick and tired.

Have you tried an intervention? I'm sure you've seen the TV show but they do it the way it is taught in school and spot on. Now most people know what an intervention is and she might catch on and avoid it.

Talk to the family and suggest they do just that. Have them call an addiction specialist and bring them into the family for an intervention. I have the training for it too but surely can't help from where I sit. Call the family and see if there is someone left who cares.
