I'm wondering if anyone on here knows of a Dr in South West Va (Roanoke, Salem, etc. area) that takes Medicaid or that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I'm unemployed at this time and don't have a lot of money. I'm willing to travel up to 50 miles from here if there's a Dr. near here that will take medicaid or if it's cheaper. The closest I've found to me is about 20 minutes from where I live and the first appt. is $300. You have to take $50 to the office to secure the appointment then it's $250 when you go. I just can't afford that but I can't do this anymore either. Any help is welcomed and appreciated.

Skys Mommy,

I know some people here might have the direct links and I don't know how to post them but I GOGGLED "suboxone dr. locator" and it brought me to a few sites where you can just type in your city/state and how far you want to drive and it gives you all the dr.s in your area, phone numbers and all! I found the Here To Help locator the most updated.

I hope you have a great weekend good luck!

There are 4 doctor locators online that I'm aware of: suboxone-directory.com, suboxone.com, NAABT.org, and samhsa.gov. I don't think they'll tell you if they take medicaid - you'll probably have to call around.
I'm sorry this is so difficult for you. Good luck and please keep us posted on what you find.
